Great outdoor spotlights
These light are perfect for my outdoor light at a much better price than from the company that installed the fixtures

Solidly built, bright, all working, slightly whiter than 2700K
The media could not be loaded. I purchased 3 packs of these to replace all my halogen landscape lighting bulbs. The bulbs are well protected in the packaging and are solidly built - they don't feel cheap at all. I used 14 of the 18 bulbs and all of them worked. The housing is metal with fins on the edge for heat dissipation. The bulbs I purchased are the 5W version which is rated as 35W equivalent for halogen. It's a bit brighter than I would have wanted considering I'm replacing 20W halogen bulbs (ideally I would have wanted an LED bulb around 3.5W to match the same brightness as my old 20W halogens but I couldn't find any on Amazon). The color temperature is pretty good too; slightly whiter than 2700K - I'd say it's closer to 3000K, but still looks good in the yard at night. I can't comment on longevity because I just installed them. Someone was asking if they are dimmable...they aren't technically dimmable in terms of being able to change their brightness, but they can take reduced power (down to 7W) and still maintain similar brightness. Overall, they seem like a good bulb and they work well. Hopefully they last a long time![UPDATE] After 6 months of use in my outdoor landscape lights, I have still not had 1 of these lights burn out yet and I have 17 of them in use. I live in Canada, so they have survived the summer heat and so far in the early winter they have survived freezing point weather just fine. No complaints at all thus far.

A Lot to Learn about Lighting
We recently moved into a home with two very small can lights in the ceiling of a built-in china cabinet. One burned out so half of the cupboard in was shadows. I took out the burned out bulb, which I found to be a MR16, with which I had no experience. I took this bulb to Menards where the employee was very helpful. Since the bulb had no markings, we could not ascertain what the wattage was. The employee did locate a package of bulbs that looked just the same, but they were halogen. I decided to try what appeared to be an LED equivalent. When I installed the new bulb, I found that the new light was was much brighter and cool instead of a warm color, which created a harsh appearance to the crystal on one side of the cabinet. After spending a lot of time on Amazon reading up on the warm to cool range and the conversion of halogen to LED as far as strength, I began to search for a product that would fit the can and produce a light similar to the original still burning in the other side of the cupboard ceiling. Though I found other less expensive options, I decided to purchase these Alide bulbs, which were listed to provide the equivalent of a 20W-35W halogen. Between the information provided by the seller and helpful reviews, these bulbs seemed to be the best choice for my cupboard. After I received the bulbs and installed one, I was very happy. Looking into the cupboard, these LED lights provide a complimentary tone and are bright without being glaring. I would guess the halogen bulb that I replaced was a 20W. The one still in the cupboard burns warmer than the LED. They seem to be expensive, but I got the effect I wanted so it was worth the cost to me.

bulbs die within a short time - but seller offered replacement
Update:Seller quickly contacted me and offered to send replacement bulbs for the bad batch of bulbs, suggesting you can buy without hesitation and should you have a bad batch, the seller will try to make it right.I bought several boxes of the 4000k light color bulbs for landscape lighting. The positive is that it is a great match for a halogen bulb size and is very bright, but all the bulbs start flickering and die within a short time, frequently after just weeks or months.

Bright Warm Led lights
Worked great with my electrical transformer used for halogen 20 and 30 watt bulbs. The led light bulbs had stronger lumes than the halogen.

Great replacement for landscape bulbs!
Last year I decided to make the switch to LEDs in my landscape lights. Now a days it is easier than ever with direct replacement bulbs vs buying all new fixtures. I read a bunch of reviews on what to look for to have a comparable halogen appearance: a warm white light and around 2700K. I jumped on line, found what I thought I wanted with that description (a different bulb than these) for the absolute cheapest price and purchased them. They were definitely more white than I was used. One is seen in one of the photos above of the tree up close (the one tree in the back has the new Alide bulb as a comparison). After a year of living with the other LEDs I started to wonder if I needed to spend the $12/bulb that I had seen on a professional landscape page. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much $ so I searched again and came across these Alide MR16s. I decided to give them a try based on the limited reviews but all positive! Plus the fact that I would receive 6 bulbs for the price of 2 from another site was a definite win - that is if they would provide the look I wanted. When they arrived, I decided to replace all 6 lights that night. Most had the other LEDs but a couple still had the old halogens... I now know what they mean by LEDs run cool because you can come close to burning your fingers trying to replace a halogen bulb that has been running for a short time. As soon as I put the first Alide bulb in, I knew it was what I was looking for in color. I used to have 20w halogens and they look very similar to them. They do appear to be a little brighter (maybe closer to a 30w halogen) but I like it even more. After testing them out last week, I placed another order to replace 6 more lights. The only thing I can't comment on is how long they will last. However at the current price, I'm not too worried at this point.(The photos don't really do the lights justice - if you are looking for that halogen look, these will definitely give you that.)
