Great camera. Loved it.
The Canon R8 is a fantastic camera that has exceeded my expectations in every way. As someone who enjoys both photography and videography, I found the R8 to be incredibly versatile. Its 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor delivers stunning image quality, with rich colors and excellent low-light performance. I was particularly impressed by how well it handles high ISO levels, allowing for crisp, noise-free images even in dim conditions. The ergonomics of the R8 are spot on—lightweight and comfortable to hold, making it a great choice for extended shoots. Despite its compact form, the camera feels durable and well-built. I also enjoyed the vari-angle touchscreen, which is extremely useful for shooting at unconventional angles, and the USB-C charging makes it convenient to charge on the go. Overall, the Canon R8 strikes a great balance between advanced features and usability. Whether you're a professional or an enthusiast, the Canon R8 delivers performance that will inspire creativity and elevate your photography or videography. I highly recommend it!

Best camera
I’ve watched a lot of review videos and they keep referring to it as entry level or not professional. But honestly this is a mind blowing camera. For me it is the best possible camera for what I do and I am a high end professional who does a lot of “active” and “adventure” shooting. This makes the size perfect. Carrying a larger camera just doesn’t work. I’m constantly blown away with the image quality especially in low light and the amount of details it captures. It’s very easy to use once you set it up how you like it. Obviously, the one issue is the battery. I wouldve taken a slightly bigger camera body instead of the poor battery life. So just make sure you get multiple batteries.

So happy with this camera
Loving this camera! I got this to save me money on hiring a photographer for my daughter’s senior pictures. I love the ease of use for a beginner like me. The options are great and the functionality is too. I am having a blast taking the camera out!

The best camera money can buy
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The absolutely perfect camera. I never thought I’d spend this much for a camera; but the many many features and the ease of use of such advanced features, makes this a great camera.

Still getting to know each other, but thus far impressed
I like that it uses the same batteries as my old Canon T6i. In fact, one of the main reasons I selected it is its compatibility with my bag full of Canon lenses and accessories. It is light weight and I am very impressed with its ability to focus and take pictures in a semi dark room with no flash. However, close the door for full darkness and you're out of business. . I got it hoping to achieve better results in night and astrophotography. I selected it over other cameras with better reviews and more megapixels. However, I also opted not to pay twice the price for a camera I might used 5 or 6 times in any given year. Thus far, I am not seeing a big difference between the RF and EF lenses with adaptor. However, it is day one and I am still testing. Also, I have yet to print any of the test pictures.

DO NOT buy Canon EOS R8 with Kit lens
I purchased my first Full Frame Camera. When I initially took pictures, I was delighted with the images in the Camera Preview and overall look-n-feel. However, upon exporting the images and opening them on my laptop, I realized that the kit lens I used suffers from serious vignetting. I captured images in both RAW+JPG formats. The JPG images appear good without vignetting because the camera crops the corners before converting to JPG. Unfortunately, the RAW files still retain dark corners even after applying lens profile correction in Lightroom. This seriously affects the image composition & there is no point, if you have to crop significant portions of the image, when kit lens is used at 24mm to 30mm. I couldn't test the camera with another lens, so I cannot comment on how it performs with different lenses. Nevertheless, based on my experience, I would strongly advise against using the kit lens. I am attaching the pictures (RAW files exported without any processing).

Amazing camera
Amazing camera, I use it as my main camera and I love it with the cheap 1.8 50mm Ed lens. I suggest a second battery but otherwise it’s a great buy if you want powerful photography while not killing your bank account.
