Great for both deep sky and planetary
Beastly camera. Is able to capture excellent live views of planets and nebulae through my 4 inch scope. The IMX 585 sensor makes this a no-brainer for the price

Does exactly what I wanted.
I am new to astrophotography, but this camera is awesome for me. I am able to capture the things I want and I am happy with the quality. The images are nice and sharp with a lot less noise than the SV305 that I started with. The field of view is wide enough with my EvoStar 72mm to capture the DSOs I want. Extremely happy with this purchase. The color is off on my andromeda shot because of my playing around with the level in the live stack. Thatโs not the cameras fault.

Good to start with, but has problems
The SVBONY SV705C is a decent camera for the price, but it has its quirks. While the image quality is acceptable for planetary imaging, the software can be a bit finicky to set up. Additionally, the camera can be sensitive to heat, which can impact performance during long exposures. For casual astrophotographers, it's a good starting point, but more experienced users may find limitations.

This is a fabulous camera!!!!!
This is a fabulous camera!!!!! It uses a great sensor with high sensitivity, is a good high resolution for the price, and honestly does not require a cooled version; just dither any noise away. Its pixel size is perfect for most native scope setups for crisp detail. At an affordable price it is a definite buy.

Worked one time...
I purchased this camera to display the telescope images on my laptop. I followed the directions and it worked the first time. The images were a bit grainy but I figured I coudl work on that within the Sharpcap software. I connected everything the next weekend and it did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software but it did not work. The camera was recognized by the pc but would not display a picture. I need soemthing a little more reliable so I sent it back.

You might need to order more stuff
Svbony do not show one how the product is normally used, so I had to order items essential to making the product work out of the box. The site should show you that you need this and that to make the product work. I always have to order other items and wait for several days

Remember to install drivers from svbony website.
Does exactly as expected, a perfect inexpensive choice for first time astrophotography. Works great for planetary and is better than most dslr camera for Deep space targets. Goes gresg with my Askar 71f.

Great for solar photography with a small refractor (and appropriate filters)
I bought this camera recently for the 2024 Solar Eclipse as I didn't have a planetary camera and wanted something quickly so I could try it out and get comfortable with it. I paired this with my 71mm triplet refractor that also has a hydrogen alpha etalon and blocking filter. I had zero problems with this configuration, and everything worked as it should from drivers to functioning with SharpCap. If you are completely new to dedicated astrophotography cameras, there will be a learning curve to using this. If you have used them before, this should be pretty familiar territory and for me at least there were no surprises or gotchas. Note: The attached image was taken with about $3000 in additional equipment

Super Finderscope camera!
I use for Finderscope with an c-mount 50mm F1.4 lens. Amazing, very sensible, I see all the stars and planets needed.
