From the moment I started reading this book I knew it's going to be my first 5 star read of 2024.This book was so SO SO GOOD!! I laughed, i cried . the whole maddox family dynamics are just my thing. I wanna meet jacob's grandfather and that damn parrot🤣 Also as a dog person i adored lieutenant Dan🥹 Jacob is literally My person🫶🏻 I see myself in jacob for sure.It is such an original story for a change and I adore both briana and jacob.A perfect story about two people who couldn't be more perfect for each other. It is my favorite romcom of all time. Everything felt so real and natural about this story, the characters were so well written, their past traumas, both of them helping each other dealing with it. They are just IT couple.This is a comfort read and it held my hand and said you are all right and I'm going to come back to it every time for that comfort.I have not one bad thing to say about this book. It's just perfect in every way. I DARE YOU TO READ IT!!I felt all the emotions Briana went through.her trauma and her inability to trust is described so well.I just wanted to punch nick in face for once. Even though Briana did a pretty good job with the revenge thing. The glitter thing🤣🤌🏻 I love her for treating jacob so well The way she treats him kindly, always has his back. Understand him through the eye communication thing😭I loved her character so so so much. I feel like I can't even describe it properly how much I loved her character.JACOB MADDOX!!!!!Damn this guy. He is a plant dad, He rescued a dog , He bakes, cleans, prefer writing letter for communication because he can't express himself well because of his social anxiety, journals, light candles in the rain, wash clothes with lavender scent, will choose to spend time with his dog at home instead of going out. He is the guy you will find sitting with a dog in a family function. Literally a saint.He is just the definition of my dream man with all his imperfections😭🫶🏻I ADORE HIM!!THE GREENEST FLAG of the book community.He just warmed my heart and made me smile throughout the book. His anxiety is depicted in such a wonderful way , even i was feeling all the emotions he was going through the words and loved the way author had briana handle all those situations.He is so sweet, I have unrealistic expectations for love in real life because of him.I remember when Briana said𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡Couldn't have agreed more with Briana. I would do the same for him.You can't not love this man💕No one doing it like Briana and jacob🫶🏻How they had each others back and that scene where he showed her his soul.I was a goner. Never getting over this book and these two.And trust me when i say this , I'm a fantasy girlie and me obsessing over a romcom book is a big deal.Jacob maddox making to my top5 fictional men list is a big thing because it's filled with fantasy men.Just trust me this once and read this book.I cannot recommend this book enough.Already added all the other books of abby jimenez in TBRI think she is going to be my must author.

4.5!This was such a solid read - lots of depth, great emotions, a strong plot, and well-written characters. The love story was heartwarming, and overall, I enjoyed it a lot. But, there’s one thing I just can’t stand - the misunderstanding/miscommunication trope. For that reason alone, I can’t give it full marks.Now, if you know me, you know I’m not usually into fragile, vulnerable heroes. But Jimenez did a really great job with Jacob. He’s got social anxiety, which makes it hard for him to fit in, and he’s come to terms with that. What made this work for me was Brianna - she just gets him. She knows what makes him anxious, what calms him down, and I loved watching them together. Jacob’s one of those genuinely good guys - selfless, kind, always ready to help. He avoids conflict whenever he can, always trying to smooth things over.Bri, on the other hand, is smart, impulsive, and totally fiery. Her revenge on her ex had me cracking up! She’s also super protective of her brother, which I really respected. Life’s been tough for her, but she keeps pushing through. Her abandonment issues were hard to read about, and you can really feel the weight of what she’s been through.The way the author portrayed anxiety and depression felt so real, especially in characters who look like they have it together but are quietly battling their own struggles. It was handled with so much care, and it brought a rawness to the story that made it feel incredibly personal.I’ve noticed Abby’s books tend to have that realistic, relatable vibe, and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s an emotional, well-written story, and I’d definitely recommend it.

"Jacob, you are too pure for this Earth."Never read something more true. Jacob Maddox makes my heart flutter, my lips quiver, my toes curl and my body melt. Wasn't really ready to read such a beautiful man.Briana went through a lot, trust me, she really did. But she also understood Jacob and his anxiety which makes me so happy. Their friendship was so adorable and let's not forget the letters.Read the first letter and instantly teared up. There's nothing more romantic than handwritten letters. And nothing more hot than a man who writes in his journal about you.The fake dating and forced proximity tropes played their part really well and this is when they fell for each other. So bad. And their jealousy scenes uffff. The smut was just the perfect amount.The ending had me sobbing at 1 AM and I'm not even mad about it. This book is so close to my heart and the way it made me feel so many emotions is incredible. Can't recommend this book enough.

i need a minutei wanna hug this book, and then roll up and slide inside it. it's honestly THAT good. it rarely happens, but i loved every character. i can say without a doubt that it was better than Part of Your World.it's handsdown the best book i've read this year. it hit close to home because the little things remind me so much of my own life and it was scary and beautiful at the same time.believe me when i say: read it.please check out TWs before diving in!

This book has my whole heart . It made me laught out loud and cry. This is all i need in a book. Fake dating/workplace romance and check for some trigger warnings as well since it deals with anxiety, pregnancy and mis carriage .Overall iam becoming obsessed with Abby jiminez’s books

Abby has successfully written the most precious and lovable man I've ever read in any of the romance novels I've come across and I can't stress enough how difficult it is to put this book down cause it is THAT good. I need me a Jacob Maddox dude cmon where do I find a sweetheart like him????
