Would this fit a bayonet lampholder?

What is the diameter of the internal bore please?

Without striping the fitting down I could not say, however from memory I would say about 7-8 mm.

If you look it up on Amazon under that name, you will find the platet is 25mm. You should be able to swage the tube out slightly with a the rounded jaw end of closed big pliers by twisting them round inside of the pipe, or devise something conical. 1.5mm is all that will be required.
