Effective and Easy to Use!
Another aid to deter would-be burglars! Very pleased with this simple plug-in device which automatically switches on and off any lamp that is plugged into it (please ensure lamp switch is in the On position first, otherwise you will think the gadget isn't working!). It has two settings, winter and summer, to take into account the different lengths of darkness. In both, the lamp will come on for a number of hours, depending on the summer/winter setting, and then off and on randomly during the rest of the night. A simple device which increases peace of mind!

Works as described
After trying a couple of locations around my house, & realising the timer was probably being influenced by the lights I had on, I hit on the idea of putting the sensor on a windowsill & behind the curtain, with the lamp in the room in front of the curtain. This works perfectly! Light came on just before dark, stayed on for slightly more than the 4 hours stated, then on & off randomly through the night & off again at daylight. Definitely will make my house looked 'lived in' when I'm not there. Will use even if I'm going to be late home in winter. Very easy to install -- no fiddly bits setting your own times as the device does it for you. Great! Recommended product.

I bought 3 in all but one does not work! I wrote to the company and have still not heard back ! You have to hope it works !

Things to watch out for
This works OK but remember it will carry on working all through the night even though, when people go to bed normally the lights are switched off until the next day/evening so it can add to your electricity bill. Also if the day is overcast and your room may be a little darker some times it can come on during the day.

Plug it in and leave
I like the fact that you just plug this in and leave it to randomly come on whenever it feels like it. It seems to be in 3 to 4 hours slots during which it is on. Sometimes when I come down in the morning the one in the living room is already on. It was so good I bought another one .
