Casio fx-85GTCW Black Scientific Calculator

Glad I opted for the solar edition. The blue is a really nice alternative to black and my school age son agrees it’s quirky. Like most scientific calculators, there’s a button for everything you’ve heard of and then a load for functions you never will. I quite like the large clear display with the icons. The buttons feel less solid; perhaps due to recycled material used. We have to see if this proves to be flimsy. Turning the thing off was less than intuitive, although this has an auto off function and solar. So maybe unnecessary. Overall I’m happy with this and feel it will be useful for my son’s school studies without looking too childish.

I brought this because I am studying for an electrical course and needed a good scientific calculator I was allowed to take into exams. I did alot of research and this was recommended quite a few sites. Without doubt it's feels like one of the easier calculators to use. Screen clarity is good and has a bunch of options as well to help adjust to needs. The quality is great the hard case protects the calculator and mine is as good a year old on etc. Battery is faultless no issues and it has solar point anyway. Great value for money and as shown the functionality is great as can change how data is given. If I had to complain about anything when it's new you may find yourself on casino site to see how to do whatever function if can't work out however the guide is good there and a quick Google will find someone has a video somewhere because it's a good product and people have invested in it.

Great calculator. Purchased for daughter, who is starting secondary school soon. This should be able to see her throughout to GCSEs, and really happy to have purchased on a deal.

This Texas Instruments calculator is the third one I have purchased on Amazon from the same seller. After 2 to 3 months, the first two stopped charging and kept turning on and off constantly, while the third one shows “error” as soon as I perform a calculation like 8+2. We would like a refund or an exchange.

The older model fx-85GT x has store and recall functions. This model does not. Also division output is not very handy.
