Exceptional Silk Purple Filament - A Dream to Print With!
I had the pleasure of using the Silk Purple filament on my Bambu Labs X1C, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the flawless print quality to the thoughtful packaging, this filament truly shines (pun intended). Here's a breakdown of my experience:Filament Performance (5/5):Printing at 215 degrees Celsius with a 0.2mm layer height yielded fantastic results. The Silk Purple colour was incredibly vibrant and consistent across all my prints. The filament adhered perfectly to the print bed, creating smooth, precise layers. I was impressed by the consistent flow and the absence of noticeable imperfections in the finished prints. Whether I was creating functional parts or artistic pieces, this filament delivered outstanding results every time.Packaging (5/5):The filament came neatly wound on the spool, which is more important than one might think. This winding prevents tangles, which can be a real headache during printing.Moisture Protection (5/5):In addition to the spool, it includes an extra ziplock bag. This extra bag is a thoughtful touch that allows you to store the filament securely, preventing moisture absorption. As we know, moisture can compromise print quality and lead to nozzle clogs, so this extra layer of protection is greatly appreciated. In conclusion, if you're looking for a Silk Purple filament that performs flawlessly with your printer, you can't go wrong with this product. It's a top-notch choice for both novice and experienced 3D printing enthusiasts. The beautiful, consistent colour, tangle-free winding, and moisture protection make it a must-have for your 3D printing projects. Highly recommended!

Fantastic PLA for everyone
Weight upon delivery: 1.1kg total (spool and filament)My tests were carried out on an Original Prusa i3 MK3, slicing using Ultimaker Cura 3.4.1.During Print Impressions:First print was a 3DBenchy. Settings used were 210C Nozzle 60C Bed. The first layer adhered well to the PEI bed, no glue's needed (your mileage may vary depending on the print surface). At 45mm/s speed there were no major problems with adhesion.A larger 'd20 dice holder' was also printed with no support for the large overhangs. The PLA performed well with these, although some sagging was experienced where the indented numbers had overhangs. Cooling perhaps should be a bit faster here or supports used but without close observation, there are very few surface blemishes.Post Print Impressions:The colour is a deep blue and appears to be consistent throughout the roll. Until I use up the whole thing I won't be able to confirm that, however. After removing the Benchy from the bed, I was rather taken by how well it came out the first time. The print settings were clearly just right and there was no stringing visible at all. I was impressed as this is the first print without any post-processing needed to make it look presentable.Overall I would say this is a very good filament for those beginning to 3D print. The only changes I had to make to my print profiles were the temperature and speed of the first layer to promote adhesion. It just worked, and prints come out as good as some much more expensive PLAs.

Ordered twice, each reel was different material
I ordered one of these in mid June, was pleased with the prints. When that ran out I ordered another (around mid July). I noticed some slight differences ...The first reel was a slightly matt blue colour when printed, the second was a shiny (sort of metallic) blue.Same colour, just the matt versus shiny difference. The manufacturer part number was the same on both = 700-001-0428.But there was a second code = T2004 on the first, X2004 on the second. The reels had different centre hole sizes.I printed the exact same G-code on the second reel as I had on the first. However the second reel printed much more cleanly at 215 degrees (I was printing for strength rather than aesthetics) without any stringing. The result was a much cleaner print all round.I would have given the first reel 4 stars, the second 5.Due to the inconsistency I'm not giving 5 stars overall.

Great filament - Great Price
I've been 3D printing for around 18 months and had always been buying my filament from a certain 'auction site'. The problem is that as soon as I find a filament which I like the quality of then the seller starts to run out of stock and I need to start the search again. I heard some good things about the Geeetech filament on some forums and so thought I would give it a go.I purchased 3 spools of different colours. I have recently upgraded to a printer where I can easily change the filament mid-print and so wanted some consistancy across the different colours. I have run off my standard test prints for each without changing the printer settings and the results were great. On opening the packs the spools are very well vacuum sealed and you can immediately see that the winding is great. This is very important as I've had to bin a couple of spools (and long prints) where the filament has snagged. I'm also getting great build plate adhesion (with no tape or glue) which also gives me a lot of confidence as I do some very long prints. I am not getting any 'gaps' in any of the prints and so I am mvery confident with the consistancy of the filament diameter. At this price I will certainly be back for more and can highly recommend the Geeetech filament.

Blue PLA
Geeetech PLA 1kg filament in blue.At time of purchase was £13, ok price for a single roll.Fitted on my AMS with an adapter and worked with the AMS.Product came vacuumed sealedPrinted a boaty in good time and was able to keep up with the printer speed.Low stringing on the boat print.Look is a slight gloss finish which gives a good sheen.Suitable strong for PLA.Overall performance was good. Would use again in the future.

Easy to print, great quality and great price
Another great filament from Geeetech.Printed on my tevo tornado at 185 degrees with bed at 60. Clean and crisp prints and the colour is beautiful. Lovely shine to the final prints that is consistant throughout the print. I've used many differant brands of filament from rigidink, to sunlu and prima etc. this ranks up there with th best. Not a hint of clogging or extrusion issues. Just works!

Good filament with no stringing
The finish has an attractive glossy shine, and the material itself has great dimensional accuracy, making for fewer blobs and zits, assuming that you have a nice extruder/hot end. I have got good results with 0.4 mm nozzles all the way up to 1 mm nozzles with big fat traces. When you print coarse, this stuff is rock solid (by PLA standards). I also have better bed adhesion with this stuff than it's cheaper counterparts. My only complaint is that if you do a lot of sanding or filing in post processing, you will lose that awesome shiny finish. However, I am of the school of thought that if your printer is well tuned and you are slicing your files well, you won't need to do much sanding.

Best Filament I have used
First time using this filament and got to say although its cheaper it is better by far than my normal more expensive filament. The filamemt has no smell at all and so far I have used about half the roll and not had a failed print, This will now be my No1 filament and save myself a few quid and still have a good quality filament
