Unfortunately No. This clip has such a shine on it that if left in the Texas sun, it will reflect the sunlight while still in the pocket & melt your hip off.

would this clip work on leather phone cases

I think it would, as the stickum stuff is great. I've had three of them. ..for three different phones, and great results, but I've had metal or plastic cases.
