Rope winch puller
First I wasn’t sure about this rope winch and was bit put off by seeing other winches with large pulling strengths but were wire. But on using it a few times I have become extremely fond of it.It’s light portable and has moved everything I have attached it to. Pulling a hung up tree back and up using a block and tackle worked well and saved a lot time and dangerous cutting. It’s good value for money and with the 50ft rope option a good starting point for me moving logs on my own. My only slightly negative comment is the curved bit of metal that you press to disengage the ratchet to lessen the tension is thin and kind of hidden in the handle after pressing to disconnect you have to jam the handle hard back and your not sure if it’s disengaged. But it slackens off slowly but it does the job and am well happy with it so far. Suggest getting a strap or chain to attach the back anchor to a solid object and a block to make it even more versatile. The whole kit fits in a old rucksack nicely and pretty light.
