Linux Mint 18 Live - Cinnamon - 32 & 64 bits - DVD

I purchased this operating system with the hopes that it would help save a laptop I had wiped when I had been messing around with cmd prompt on my laptop (not recommended). Initially, it did not seem to recognise the disk as containing an operating system so upon bringing it to a shop I had it installed. I have not been using this operating system for that long so my experience may not be useful however I have found Linux to be fairly stable in its current course. At some times it does appear to be quite slow but, as this is not my main laptop, I do not find this much of a problem. it does the job well enough but not necessarily the 'best' so to speak.

I installed this software on a self build pc with all new components, it installed easily and was updated. Unfortunately it proved to be very sluggish in operation clicking on a link on a web page took about 5-7 seconds for a response watching a video on youtube was impossible as the picture froze for about 20 seconds before switching to another image which also froze and so on although the sound played normally. I have replaced it with another os.

CD install was easy. Operating system was easy to update. The software Manager assisted with downloading programs, One important source of Games is Steam. This was downloaded but does not run under this distribution. The creator of Steam say that this version is not supported so they cannot help.

No help providedLoaded it on a laptop and it wiped out the onboard internet connection facility.The only way to get rid of it was to reinstall the laptop’s Windows OS.

I know you can download it but I wanted to make sure of a good copy,also the PC it is on doesn't boot from USB. Really like this in preference to Ubuntu

Arrived with no information at all - just the disc as shown. Emailed the French company who produced it, but received no reply. this seems to be a fairly disreputable organisation with no customer service. Avoid.
