The Sidekick My Sensor Couldn’t Live Without
I didn’t set out to buy a smart hub with a chime. But when I got the Tapo temperature/humidity monitor for my insurance discount, I found out it won’t work alone—it needs this hub like a sidekick in a buddy movie.Setup was pretty painless: plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi through the app, and it’s ready to be the middleman between your sensors and your phone. Once it was in place, my temperature monitor started sending updates instantly, and now I can get alerts no matter where I am. The chime is surprisingly loud for its size—great if you want audible alerts, less great if you forget it’s armed and scare yourself half to death. The size is nice and compact, so it doesn’t hog outlet space. That said, you’re committing one outlet permanently to it, and it’s another device in your home that needs occasional firmware updates. Also, if you’re not using other Tapo smart devices, it feels a bit overkill—like having a full-time butler just to answer the door twice a year.In the end, it’s a necessary piece of the puzzle if you want the Tapo environmental monitor to work, and it does its job well. Just be prepared for your smart home family to grow whether you planned for it or not.

Easy to use and setup
Small and stays out of the way. Setup in the app might take some time but if you have other Tapo products it works well. No complaints so far. My apartment didn't have any overhead ceiling lights so currently using this with smart bulbs for floor lamps and a smart switch.

Very easy setup. Clear instructions.
I bought 2 TP-Link Tapo Smart Water Leak Detector and the, required, TP-Link Smart Hub Tapo H-100. Setup couldn't be easier. To test the leak detectors, pull the battery tab and place it under a dripping faucet - be ready, it will be loud. Both the detectors and hub come with clear, easy to understand instruction booklets. I placed one detector in my basement, near the water heater, and the other in the guest bath/laundry room. I'll probably get two more for the kitchen sink and master bath.Testing: Placing the detector in a shallow plate with water it blasted as loud as a smoke detector. My phone also got notifications for "Water Leak Detected" and, when I removed it from the water, "Water Leak Solved".Tapo H-100 Smart Hub setup: Install the Tapo app. Plug the hub into a wall outlet (I chose a central location). The app will discover the Hub, set up a temporary direct wi-fi connection to your phone, then will connect to your home wireless wi-fi (you will need the wi-fi password). That's it.Tapo Leak Detector setup: Remove the battery tab, hold the setup button a couple of seconds until the light comes on and that's it. The app on your phone will now see this detector. I re-named mine "Water Heater" and "Laundry".

Very good
I just got the hub with the tapo door/window sensor. I'm not a tech savvy person so I did have a bit of trouble pairing the device. But once I got it set up it worked exactly as expected. The app is very easy to use. Keeps a log of when ny door was opened and shut. I set up notifications and i do get alerts on my cell phone when the door is open. I set the hub to alarm when the door is opened but you can customize when or if you want alarm to sound when your door or window is opened. I agree with the other reviews. The alarm on the hub isn't very loud. I'm using it on my attic door and the hub is plugged into my bedroom a few feet away. I'm planning on getting a sensor for my front door so not sure if I'll here the alarm on the downstairs hub very good from my bedroom. Even though im using it as a security system It really isn't a real security system. so it's good for what it is and better then nothing. I recommend it and plan on putting these on my patio door and windows to.

Tapo does make great products!
This helped me pair my tapo water sensor detector and it gives me a peace of mind that it will alert me inside my house. I really like the smart hub and it has matter built in.

Funciona
Funciona bien pero crea algo de conflicto con Alexa, recomendaría comprar la versión siguiente si se tiene el dinero. Este funciona perfecto conectado a 120 v

Works very well
After using the first one for a while to test it, I bought 2 more. They work well and have been dependable. The range is very short, you have to be pretty close to trigger them, say less than 10 ft. I played around with where to place the sensor before attaching it. Would buy again.
