Easy installation
I found this to be easy to install on my 2014 Can Am Spyder RT. The instructions were fairly well written, however I do recommend watching some online video's on it just to help. This took me about an hour to install and I was taking my time doing it (double checking everything). I would also recommend using painters tape anyplace you have to drill or cut just to help keep things clean.

I would not buy again.
The seat does not give much room for the passenger. It was easy for me to install. What took the longest was the disassembling or the mustang seat. I am a female and I can do it but to have another rider you must take it off. Riser only has about 1 to a half foot to set in. Great for the driver and makes for a great seat belt for the passenger. I

Nice but NOT REMOVABLE as advertised and not very durable.
UPDATE: 1.5 year later... still nice backrest but did run into an issue with connecting bolts under the seat. It stripped out, made entire thing loose and able to fall out. 1/4" medal plate is not enough to stop threads from stripping out.It's a nice backrest. Comfortable, adjustable and does what it supposed to do.Keep in mind that installation is not for the faint hearted. Cutting into your factory seat and drilling holes is sketchy to say the least. It does come with good instructions and process is straight forward. Remove this, measure that, drill here, cut here, attach this and that and you're done :) Hardest part for me was to align screw holes with a part that's now inside the seat.Honestly I don't see any other way to install a backrest on the seat that was not originally designed for it. They did a good job with that has been given. I'd do it again if needed.ONLY disappointment is that it's NOT removable as stated in the advertisement. I mean, everything is screwed in together. Even if you'd unscrew the backrest part there still will be a big piece of metal sticking out of the seat. If you remove it all, it would be like installing it all over again.

Works great!
This back rest does the job at less than half the cost of OEM. My husband was able to install one on each of our Can-Am Spyder's in less than one afternoon. We had to adjust them several times to get them in the position we wanted, but that was quick and easy too. Great addition to the ride.

Used Like New
Bought this backrest for my CanAm Spyder. It came with approximately half of the required fasteners. It's just a pain to buy something so carelessly packaged. Learned my lesson.
