Magnalite Classic 13-Piece Cookware Set

I Love this Cookware! I almost did not purchase it because of all the negative reviews. No, it is not the Original Wagner Ware that I have used for years but, Good luck finding that. The only way I can tell the difference is by turning it over and it reads Magnalite Classic made in China. That has not affected the cookware at all and it comes with a 50-year limited warranty. So, with Proper use & care it will out last you and you can pass it on to someone else when you are gone. Read the Use & Care Guide very close. Hand wash only! Never use scouring pads or abrasive cleaner of any kind.Never Ever wash in a dishwasher! you will damage the finish and you will be lucky to get back half the shine with lots of cleaning and polishing. As with the Original Wagner Ware some foods will darken the inside of this cookware as well, I find it is easy to clean by using "BAR KEEPERS FRIEND CLEANSER & POLISH" available at your local Dollar General Store. I am not, sorry I made this purchase. I would do it again. That is how much I love them.

My Mom, who passed away at the age of 89 a few months ago willed me a couple pots, which she had used several times a day for 60-odd years, and which I used all through my upbringing. So I gave this set to my daughter. They are indestructible. Indestructible is important if you are as air-headed as I am. Not only has Magnalite saved many dinners, it has probably saved my house from burning down a time or two... QUALITY. Somebody still does quality. Isn't that cool? What I don't get is how they can stay in business. My mother bought two pots in the 1950s and never needed to buy any other cooking pots from anybody at an time. I am not exaggerating. That's how it was.

My whole family has been using these pots for my whole life. From my great grandmother down to my mom. I tried to not follow the tradition and I got another expensive trendier brand. When those pots went kaput after rabout a year and a half I decided to get with the program and fall in line. These post are sturdy, gorgeous, even cooking, and a joy to cook with! The only note of caution is to be careful when cooking with acidic ingredients make sure that you clean them immediately afterwards. I tend to be lazy when it comes to doing dishes and it discolored the finish on the inside. Pots fine just looks seasoned before it's time!

My mom bought me one pot as a house warming gift when I first moved into my house. It turned into my go to pot. Anything and everything I would cook would be in that 1 pot. So I decided to expand and here we are a year later and they are still by far my favorite post to cook in/out of. Quality is superb.

I received the Magnalite Classic 13-Peice Cookware Set today. Upon opening the box it was clear that some of the set (the 15" roaster & the 5 qt. Dutch oven) did not look right. They were warped and no way would the lids fit. After doing some checking I found that these are knock offs made in China and not the original Magnalite products made in the USA. They are also half the thickness of the real Magnalite products. Beware of this product!!!
