Not safe for use
It’s supposed to be odourless but it smells burnt and smokes quite a bit! Turned out that it is really burnt. Not safe for use at all!!

Recurring Manufacturing Defect: Wicks Dry Out / Zero Manufacturer Support
I really wanted this to work for my male Corgi’s severe afternoon anxiety, but after three separate units and three different bottles of oil, I’ve given up. The pheromones ARE effective when they actually diffuse, but there is a major quality control issue with the wicks. In three consecutive bottles, the wick has completely "glazed" over or dried out within two weeks, despite the vial being nearly full. Even with the heater functioning and the unit level, the oil simply stops wicking. I’ve tried "priming" the wicks and cleaning the units—nothing works. Worse than the defective product is the lack of support. I reached out to the manufacturer (ThunderEase/Ceva) multiple times and was completely ghosted. If you have a pet that relies on this for stability, the inconsistency is a dealbreaker. Pros: Works well if it actually diffuses. Cons: High failure rate on wicks, expensive for a non-functional product, and non-existent customer service. I also worry about the safety of a heating element running against a bone-dry wick for hours at a time. Thankfully, Amazon stepped in with a refund for one unit, but I’m left with several bottles of expensive oil and a stressed-out dog. I’ll be looking for a more reliable alternative.

Not a fix, but helps a lot!
My dog is terrified of thunder. So much it literally scares the poop out of her multiple times. She becomes a ball of anxiety and totally different personality. Sad thing is she used to watch storms with me in the backyard... guess age takes a toll. This is not a magic fix, for my dog she calms down a lot faster though. I live at the coast in the south east so from may until september we have daily storms it seems. I hate giving her trazdone, I used to take it myself and I know how it made me feel and it breaks my heart to see her completely doped up for a day after. I keep the plugin in whatever room we go to, turn on some linkin park music and the lights... those 3 sometimes make her not notice the storm, but she still looks for it. Prior to the plugin, she would be "crazy" for at least 2 hours after the storm... now she calms down WITHOUT DRUGS in about 30 minutes.

Senior dog afraid of car sounds
Package arrived in perfect condition. Odorless. It gets warm but not burning hot. Diffuser works great. Only place I can put it is close to a smoke alarm and it did not set off the alarm. It’s the first night but my dog is calmer than last night. We’ll see how it goes long term. He did smell the box with the replacement inside, he was really interested in it. Good sign 👍

These seem to help
I have a neurotic pit bull who forecasts weather. I bought these to help with his anxiety when the pressure drops to see if they help reduce the panting, pacing, chewing, teeth chattering, shaking, etc. They do seem to help some, since medication and his thunder garment alone didn't help. I plug them in at any chance of rain, fireworks, crickets, croaking frogs, etc. and they do seem to help. He's an extreme case. These are simple to plug in, leave room to plug something else beneath them, don't smell, and are conveniently refillable. Will continue to use.
