CANIK MECANIK MO1 Mini RED DOT Sight

Great little sight. The Automatic brightness adjustment is very good. The red dot is sturdy, well made, durable and looks good. A great value. I mounted mine on a Hellcat Pro. I did not need a plate it was a direct mount. However, there is a very slight nearly imperceptible fap between mounting surfaces. This does not affect functionality.

Very accurate little red dot. Has had no problem holding zero with a snappy little subcompact 9mm after 3-400 rounds. Fitment was very easy also!

Bought this product after a lot of research into other brands. Installation was easy and mounts perfectly to a Hellcat. The optic comes with some beefy bolts to hold it to the weapon. The fox ear form factor is also useful to protect the glass from drop damage and is sturdy enough to table-rack. The auto-off is perfectly timed and is a neat feature for the sale price I paid!First 10 shots were a disaster. The red dot had obviously lost zero after the first 4 rounds and by the tenth, it had lost tension on the battery entirely and therefore, lost power.I followed the installation guidelines to the letter including using my torque driver to accurately get the recommended torque. I figured I’d apply loctite and try again, but the optic doesn’t sit snug to the firearm anymore. It wobbles and absolutely does not hold zero. It seems like the stock bolts are too long for the wells in the slide.***Update*** After consulting with Canik, they pointed out some Hellcat Pro Optic bolts that can be purchased directly from Springfield's store. While the Springfield specifically calls out compatibility for the Shield and JPoint optics, they mount PERFECTLY with the Canik. The screws sit flush and the optic is even more secure than it was with the stock bolts. So far, no issues with loosening bolts!!

Absolutely great sight. Well built and easy to co-witness. Bright led. Comes just about zeroed out the box.

This was my first red dot sight and given the value for the money of anything Canik branded, I took a shot with this. The quality of the sight is everything you would expect from Canik, which in my mind is excellent. For and finish is perfect. There are some settings that some folks like to be able to adjust that are automatic on this one, such as brightness. The elevation and windage adjustments do not have clicks or reference marks, so you’re kind of shooting in the dark when you adjust. The only thing I think I’d ding this on, is the fact you have to completely remove the sight to change out the battery. Not a deal breaker, but a minor inconvenience in that you’ll have to shoot to reverify zero after changing it out. Red dot has appeared every time I’ve raise the gun to shoot and I’ve had no issues with the dot being too bright or not bright enough. Pretty low profile, especially without an adapter plate. I’d buy it again at this price.

I ordered this to throw on my Canik Metr MC9. I love the fit and the frame of the sight it excellent and looks duty built. I opened it up and the auto brightness feature was working initially. I mounted it, and a couple days later I took it to the range. I noticed before I went that the red dot has dimmed dramatically and didn’t appear to be adjusting anymore to changes in light.The range was horrible, I could barely see the dot so I can’t comment on the factory zero. But, I get home and it’s still dim. I remove it from my MC9 and now it just won’t turn on. Not sure if I got a bad battery or what but I am returning it.Also, after searching it seems Canik is not an American company and has no customer service available that I could find.

This red dot is great. The auto on/off and auto dimming work flawlessly. Not a fan of the battery location but not a big deal.
