Surprisingly brillant set up. Sets up easily, in turn breaks down just as quick. No pieces to lose, lots of options for bread cutting thickness. Beautiful storage bag and very nice knife that is magnetic...magnetic I say! You need this! :)

Elegant Piece
This is an absolutely stunning piece and I love the quality! I actually returned a few similar items before deciding on this one and I am very pleased with my purchase. I like that it has different sizes you can use on the guide posts for your perfect slice๐.It it very sturdy once locked into place. I saw a review that said the sides didn't hold up in place. One of my sides was a bit snug and did not auto lock into place like the other side. Once I manually pushed it into the notch it locked in place. Not a big deal to me at all I still love it! I did put a demo in my video so I hope that helps with assemblyI agree with some of the reviews that the magnets to hold the knife are not very stong but I knew about that by the reviews before I purchased so and its not a big deal to me but I did upload a video to kind of show the strength so you can make your own educated decision ๐. My opinion is that it's fine but if you pick it up and move it like I do as a serving tray just be sure you have a hold of it to be safe ๐.I love the crumb catcher feature! I've had a similar bread slicer before without one and let me tell you that this one is a game changer on being mess free. I want to share a little tip to keep your bread slicer lasting a long time. I have added a thin piece of flexible plastic cutting board that I bought for cheap at Walmart and cut it to fit inside as a barrier to protect the wood from being damage by the knife. When I am done I just angle it slightly and let the crumbs fall down in the crumb catching tray then toss that plastic piece in the dishwasher. No mess no damage perfect ๐ โค๏ธ.The crumb catching tray can also be used on its own as an elegant serving tray. I've even used mine as a charcuterie board and it's just so darn pretty. This peice is so nice and can be displayed on your counter but it does come with a soft bag for easy storage. Happy Baking everyone. ๐

If you make bread in pans, it's perfect. If you use a bread maker, first address the loaf height.
I was a pro baker for several years until my skin developed gluten sensitivity due to constant exposure to raw dough. While I still love making bread and donuts (thank the cosmic overlords that said sensitivity has not reached my GI tract) I have to keep hands off the raw product as much as possible. This is one reason why I have a bread machine. If you are baking your bread in a typical loaf pan, no loaf modifications are needed. I recommend, if it is a typical white or whole wheat loaf, to wait until it's at least room temperature before slicing. You may find your bread crumbles or otherwise deforms if you're using the slicer guide while the bread is even a little warm. Overall, this is a very straightforward device, and is easy to break out, clean, and fold down again. The included knife is of decent quality for the price, it's sharp and makes a clean cut. I think it could be an inch longer to avoid it coming out of the guide, so I have been using my own longer bread knife that is functionally identical. So here are a few tips if you are baking in a breadmaker: The height of the cutting slats is about 1/2 the horizontal length of a breadmaker loaf. If you like carving off a thick slab of hot bread from time to time, I would recommend going freehand. I recommend cutting said type of loaf in half before slicing -- not long ways like a hot dog, but parallel with the shortest side. Second tip is to wait until the loaf is completely cool. If you like your bread best when it's warm, either go freehand while it's still fresh, or warm it back up in a toaster oven afterward. I like to chill mine in the fridge before slicing for cleanest cuts. Use the right knife! The knife that comes with is the right type, and is designed to cut the bread in a sawing motion with near zero downward pressure. And last tip when cutting is to gently rest the knife against one side of the kerf in the bamboo slots for maximum uniformity; this works best when resting it on the inside side (closest to your body). The slots are about 3.5x wider than the thickness of the included blade.Afterthought: According to the gospel of 7-year-olds, there are few things in life as wonderful as a scratch-made grilled cheese sandwich with pepperoni. Happy breading everyone :)

Nice Slicer - Easy To Use and Convenient
The slicer is well made and is a very useful tool for slicing our bread maker made bread. The item is sturdy and is made and functions well. If there are any drawbacks it is that the Slicer is only made for loaf shaped bread. The only way to use this with a round loaf is to cut the round loaf in half and cut it that way.The knife that comes with it works for the purpose, but I find the knife cuts a little rough due to the serrated edge and it could be about an 1" longer to be perfect. I use a non-serrated meat slicing knife to make smoother cuts, plus it is much longer. Overall, I am very happy with the product. I also enjoy that it folds down neatly for storage when not in use.

Ok product
Good product but no directions came on how to slice smaller so basically slices all come out the same size also no way to narrow the sides down to hold the bread. Otherwise good.

Finally a Bread Slicer that Works Well!
This slicer is well made, well thought out, and folds compactly. First off, I want to say it does allow you to cut the bread all the way through the loaf, and the only way it doesn't, is if you didn't unfold it and use it correctly. There are a number of reviews mentioning it leaves almost half an inch of uncut bread at the bottom of each slice. You need to flip the sides of the slicer around and they lock into position, and voila, no gap! I like the different thickness of slices it offers and the storage bag is a nice touch. I clean it off, fold it up and have the compact bag hanging on the side of my cabinet - handy but out of the way.The only downside I see to the whole thing is the short knife that comes with it. I already have a good, nice long bread knife, so I didn't need the one that came with it, but it would be hard to use a short one.I make my bread in a vertical bread machine, so this makes really great, square slices that are perfect for sandwiches or toast. If you are using the more common horizontal loaf kind of bread machine, I think your bread would be a couple inches above the sides of the slicer, so some aiming at the slots would be necessary.Overall though, I like this slicer much more than any other ones I've tried - including the plastic ones, the single slice style and the smaller bamboo ones.

Does what it says
Excellent product. Wish the blade was longer.

Very n8ce, with 1 sortvof major flaw
100% unpaid and honest review here.Overall, this is a very nice, sturdy abd well built bread slicer. The knofe that comes with it is so far also very nice. It folds and unfolds easily, stores the extra piece and the knife quite well and while slightly shakey when cutting with it, really not bad at all. The bottom part you place it into catches all oftge crumbs. This is potentially a wonderful, near perfect piece, imho...with 1 caveat. (Read below)There are 2 things to consider here though, and one of them is a sort of major flaw which I moght be returming it over.1) it's not adjustable for different width breads. Not a huge deal. I knew this and could tell when buying it. You can just hold the less wide breads up agsinst the far side when cutting. Problem solved. Easy peasy. Not a deal breaker.2) Here is the possible deal breaker. I included photos. We've only cut 1 and 1/2 small loaves of bread so far and just look at the deep gouges in the bottom already! My concern is that in less than a year or even the first 6 months. We will wind up slicing all the way through that bottom, rendering this item useless. If they could only have used a sturdier, thicker, treated wood instead of cheap bamboo just for the bottom part you cut onto. I mean. The bottom is literally a cutting board and should be a cutting board. Had they done that, this thing would be a 5 stars keeper. Shoot, I'd give it 10 stars then. I love everything else about it. Very sad the bottom of it isn't up to par for it to last.If you don't mind having to buy a new one 2 or 3x a year, then by all means..this is the one to buy. Or maybe you don't cook bread all that often, so it won't bother you if you can only use it for 20 loaves before you slice through the bottom slats. If that's all you're lookikg for, get it. You'll love it.

Awesome bread slice guide
Love my bamboo bread slicer. It has the perfect knife and the magnetic knife holder is awesome. Love how the crumbs get caught in the bottom, making clean up so easy.

Very practical and the knife alone worth it for the price!
Before going to write a review I want to mention (based on my own experience) never try to cut a fresh bread. I personally leave my bread for at least 8 to 10 hours before slicing it!I quite like this slicing board. The use of bamboo not only adds a touch of natural elegance to the design but also ensures durability and sustainability. The foldable and compact design of the cutting guide makes it easy to store, a practical feature for kitchens with limited space. The built-in knife slot is a practical addition, ensuring that you always have the right tool on hand. The compatibility with the included knife adds to the overall value of the set, providing a complete solution for bread slicing. The knife's dimensions are well-suited for the slicer, enhancing the overall user experience. The knife is very sharp so when getting close to the bottom of the bread be more gentle to minimize the damage to the board.I would love this board would come with scratch resistance layer that can be put over the board, something that could be taken into consideration for the next design maybe?!The non-slip feet ensure that the guide stays securely in place on your worktop, allowing for a steady and controlled slicing experience. The foldable design adds an element of convenience, making it easy to set up for use and then store away when not needed. The natural bamboo surface is easy to wipe clean, and because bamboo is a sustainable resource, making this bread slicer an environmentally conscious choice for consumers who prioritize green living. We regularly get the use of this and so far it has been great addition to our kitchen!
