Expand Your HDMI Inputs
We're getting to that point where the HDMI inputs that come with our new HDTVs are not enough, we need more HDMI inputs. That's where this Rocketfish HDMI selector comes in handy. Think of this like a big USB hub. Now you can use one of the HDMI inputs to expand to have four more devices connected. I bought this one because the design was simple and effective. Included is a convenient tiny remote to switch between all four inputs on this selector. — CONNECTING HDMI — My advice for hooking up HDMI cables: plug in your most used items directly into your TV, then plug devices that aren't used as much into this selector. This will save you lots of time when switching between inputs. — STANDARDS — This selector supports pretty much all current HDMI standards: 1080p and 3D video, 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. You can connect Blu-ray players, DVD players, cable and satellite boxes, Fire TV and Apple TV, and all your gaming consoles. It is powered by an included AC adapter. If you have a lot of devices, this is a great way to expand your HDMI inputs. Recommended.

Warranty Warning
Worked well for a year and 4 days - then failed. Neither Best Buy or Rocketfish were interested in discussing one year warranty exceptions. Seems the device must be purchased at Best Buy to be covered by the warranty to begin with. No ifs, ands, or buts, PERIOD. No more Rocketfish or Best Buy for me. No ifs, ands, or buts. PERIOD.

Have an HDTV with only 1 HDMI port...now you can increase it!
This is connected to my HDTV (older Model) which has only one HDMI port. The Rocketfish will let me connect four devices (i.e.: BluRay player, Roku, gaming console, etc.) and run one HDMI cable up to my TV. It was easy to install and setup - took about 15 minutes. I had already setout the devices I wanted to connect and connected the MDMI cables and run them to where the RF-8115 Selector would be placed. Plugged everything in, turned them on and used the remote button connector and programmed each piece so that it could be seen on the HDTV and now I can switch to whatever I want to use very easily. No loss of signal! It's great.

Works well but may have short self life.
This worked great, turned on when the tv turned on. I have had two. The first lasted for about a year before it died. The second one lasted about a month. Not sure if it was because of power surges from storms or just the equipment failing. I would say it works but maybe try to find it on sale.

Quit working after 2 years
It was very annoying that it would turn the TV back on when I powered the TV off and I could never program my Logitech remote so that it wouldn't turn off the TV (so that when the Rocketfish toggled the TV, it would stay off.) This never happened turning on the TV and it was never an issue before the Rocketfish I unplugged everything tonight and it was dead. I tried every troubleshooting step I could find and it won't power on. What seemed like a fair price now seems like a ripoff as I only got 2 years use out of it...

Good product - but not at any price.
I had purchased a Rocketfish RF-1185 from Best Buy on sale at $49.95 and liked it, but when I got back to buying a 2nd RF-1185 HDMI selector Best Buy had them at an unreduced price of $69.95. Amazon then became the best price for a product I liked. The RF-1185 has a remote control, is user friendly and makes a 7-year old 1- HDMI port Sony TV adapt to multiple HDMI inputs.
