Small, easy to use, works straight away
Ordered late last night and just arrived. I wanted a very small water fountain to filter water and attract wildlife for my mini pond. The pump works as soon as light hits the solar panel and it’s quite a cloudy day. Perfect size for my little pond, see photos for reference on size (paper is A4). Super easy to use. I’ll update if I have any problems but as we’re only 10mins in, all is well! EDIT: later in the day full sun came out, the fountain shot higher and powerful (because my pond tiny it was watering the plants nearby) - I’ve taken the interchange nozzles off so water doesn’t shoot up now, just a constant trickle in water which suits this better).

Stopped working after 1 month
Bought on the 10th May to replace our previous fountain that we had for 5 years. It was working perfect fine until 15th June it just stopped working completely. Cleaned the sponge, disconnected the solar panel then reconnected. Last just over 1 month

Great little fountains
These little solar fountains are great. They don't really stick to anything with those little suckers so I wedge them in with rocks, but work really well in good light and even spurt a little in overcast weather. I'm a bit annoyed I didn't see that it was 2 for £12 in the second option of the listing, I added 2 separately to the basket instead of clicking on the other option for x2, so I paid twice the price, but I've reordered another 2 today and seen it so at least today I'm getting them for 12. They create more bubbles in my pond than my little pump so I'm hoping they will keep my fish happy. The pond has stayed clearer since putting them in. They look so discrete too, they're much smaller than my floating fountain that barely works, but have a stronger pump due to being able to face the solar panel in a better direction. The floating ones don't really face the sun properly. These are much better. I've even tilted mine at an angle so the water stream makes more bubbles, but you could glue them to a rock and have them bolt upright to create that standard water fountain shape. No real set up required, just place the panel facing the sun and put the pump part in the water with the nossle sticking up from the surface, add whatever attachment you prefer, just clip it on. I use the extension tube and one of the round spray nossles for a sprinkle but I'm planning to have one with just an open tube with no sprinkler to make a little more of a splash in the corner to give the fish more bubbles. The cables can just be hidden in the water too, everything is waterproof.

Ok but.!!!!
Needs to be in direct sunlight. Does not work in shade. No on/off switch. Very small solar panel. Does not store energy in battery? Does not have a flow up/down switch. Cable length ok. Not overly powerful but does the job I wanted it to do. Just Ok for a tenner.

Gute kleine Pumpe
:-) Klare Kaufempfehlung!

SOLAR FOUNTAIN FAILURE: PUMP KIT DISASTER 💧☀️💔 [⭐☠️☠️☠️☠️]
Jay Fray delivering the blunt truth about this solar fountain pump kit with separator that arrived fresh but completely failed to work! Purchased this solar fountain pump kit with separator expecting functional solar-powered water feature for yard decoration or pond circulation. The pump arrived brand new but doesn’t work at all despite being fresh out of packaging. Solar panel functionality proves nonexistent with panel either not generating power properly, failing to charge internal batteries, or simply not connecting to pump motor electrically. Solar equipment must convert sunlight to power - this one doesn’t. Pump motor either won’t run at all despite adequate sunlight exposure, operates so weakly it can’t move water, or makes grinding noises suggesting internal mechanical failure preventing operation. Assembly or connection between solar panel and pump shows problems with components that don’t fit together properly, wiring connections that fail, or design flaws preventing proper system operation. The separator component either doesn’t function as intended, clogs immediately preventing water flow, or proves unnecessary complication that adds failure points without improving fountain performance. Quality control failure becomes obvious when brand new fresh equipment arrives non-functional. Products should work immediately upon installation - receiving dead equipment represents complete manufacturing or quality control failure. Troubleshooting attempts prove fruitless with pump that simply won’t operate regardless of sunlight conditions, water levels, or installation adjustments attempted. For solar fountain features requiring reliability, receiving non-functional equipment fresh from packaging demonstrates product quality problems warranting immediate return or refund. For water features needing dependable operation, invest in quality solar fountain pumps from established manufacturers rather than equipment that arrives dead despite being fresh. Jay Fray verdict: Complete solar fountain failure arriving fresh but non-functional. Total waste receiving brand new equipment that doesn’t work requiring immediate return!

Great, low-cost, technology for backyard, novel projects. Still true. So I bought another one.
Have purchased two of these and they seem to last a long time. They are still running. Will buy again as I come up with new ideas for their use. When I wrote the sentence you just read, It was true and still is. Now, it is three years later, and one of the pumps has begun to lose power, so I ordered another one to replace it.
