Waste of money and time

Supports 1440p(2K) 75Hz but not HDR
The product doesn't mention if it supports 2K 75Hz, so ordered without much confidence. It works. But it doesn't support HDR. When I plug my monitor directly into my laptop through the provided HDMI cable, I can turn on HDR in windows but when I plug the same cable through this USB-C dongle, the option to turn on HDR disappears. I tried in battery and charging mode and I tried with both iGPU and dGPU in my asus tuf laptop. I tried 1080p and 1440p. It is safe to say HDR won't work. For that, I am reducing a star but product looks good and works. I don't need HDR but you may need it and it does mention in the box that it supports HDR(though they have put a sticker on top of it). The dongle is solid and has a weight to it, the usb-c port is gold plated. I would recommend this over other plastic converters.Edit: After a few days, I noticed the monitor doesn't turn on automatically from sleep, we have to remove the cable and insert it again. This is not good.
