Lock & Lock Kitchen Caddy HPL510 Multi-Use Food Container Box 12.0 L

When this arrived I didn't think it would hold the 10kg bag of rice I'd bought but it does! We eat a lot of rice so buying on bulk works out a lot cheaper but storage has been an issue until I found this Lock & Lock container. Airtight, usual Lock & Lock quality and has wee wheels for easy manoeuvrability.

I got this to store my dry dog food in as my previous container broke but this one is so much better, sturdier and likely more airtight than my previous one. It holds about 6kg of dry dog food and is easy to open and close. When I first got it, I popped it in the dishwasher and it came out great. Worth the money in my opinion!

These seemed a little pricey at first, but they work great. I have bought some for loose foods but also some for the cat nibbles. The opening area is a really good size and they come with a small measuring jug too. I am able to get stuff from the container to a bowl without losing half of it which for me is something. The wheels really help move them forwards and backward to aid opening and getting at the produce. Easy to wash and PBA free, so what's not to like. Only suggestion is to ensure you know the size of the area you want them for and to add a enough room for opening of the lid....

The product itself is great, 5 stars without question. However, £28 is a lot to spend on a single piece of Tupperware. I now have two of these for rice (one for short-grain, one for long-grain), which represents nearly £60 of investment in plastic tubs to store rice, which I would be mortified to admit to anyone I knew. If you regularly cook with rice then you probably want to know how much this will store - the answer is that you'll fit a 10 kg bag in, but that will fill it. It comes with a 1 cup scoop, which is handy. Although spending this much on a storage caddy significantly eats into the potential cost saving of buying rice in large bags, it's immensely handy just to be able to flick open the hinged front flap, take a cup or two out (you can level it just by wiping it under the upper lip of the flap) and flip it closed - much easier than messing around with bags. The wheels on the underneath are also really useful for sliding it in and out of cupboard shelves. Basically, it is well worth the cost just for the tiny bit of extra convenient every time you go to get rice - since this will last for many, many years the cumulative effect of that is well worth the extravagant upfront expense. I imagine this is also really useful for dog food, or whatever. Basically, anything dry food that you buy in a large sack and regularly use in small amounts would benefit from this. However, simply for storage (i.e. where you won't be accessing it on a regular basis) there are of ourse many much cheaper options available.

Bought to tame 10kg bags of rice. It doesn't look loke the rice will fit but it does and it's such a pleasure to not have to wrestle with a saggy sack of rice in the cupboard any more. It's all kept completely airtight and neatly in this at the back of the shelf and simply pulls forward when needed flip open the front, scoop some rice out, close the flap and roll back. It's one of those didn't know how much I needed this in my life purchases.

I was very pleased when I got this product. The container is incredibly spacious - to give some idea I had a large Roses tin filled with dog treats (gravy bones, mini snacks etc.) and I tipped the full tin into the container and it only filled it halfway. The lid has multiple locking catches and is very easy to completely lift off which aids easy filling. It has a lockable flap at the front end allowing access on the go. The flap opening is big enough for my hand & my husband's hand to fit in easily. Supplied with a serving scoop which is very handy if dishing out smaller items such as cereal etc. The scoop also has a pouring lip too. It has kept loose food very fresh after a couple of month's in action. Depending on the size of your kitchen cupboards, this will fit onto a shelf it the height and depth is big enough. I've put mine through the dishwasher and it's been absolutely fine. Have to say I'm very pleased wit my purchase!

these are great and convenient to store if you have. space. i was able to fit both 10kg of rice and atta. keeps them air tight and also put away in my cupboard. they come with a handy measuring cup and with wheels. so when you need to pull the forward, you can with ease. a bit pricey but they do do the job

I was looking for an air tight storage solution, with a secure lid. This one with the flip up front is ideal, as I wanted a container to put my rabbit's food in! The caddy has small wheels at the rear, so that it can be put on a shelf/in a cupboard, and is easy to pull forward. Highly recommended.

Der Preis kam mir Anfangs etwas viel vor, allerdings wollte ich genau so eine Box, dicht sollte sie auch sein... also bestellt. * Die Box hat eine angenehme größe und passr gut in meine Vorratsregale, die Klappe sowie der ganze Deckel sind dicht und dennoch gut und leicht zu öffnen. * KEIN Geruch nach Plastik oder irgendwie sowas. * Der Portionierbecher ist sehr praktisch, einzig eine Halterung wäre nochmal super top gewesen, aber auch so super! * Gut vor und zurück zu bewegen dank der Rollen. * Es passen wahlweise 10K Mehl oder Reis hinein... evt ETWAS mehr aber es muss ja nicht bis zum Rand gefüllt sein. * Hab jetzt zwei davon stehen und bin sehr zufrieden, da ich meine Vorräte nun endlich sicher vor Krabbeltieren weiß! - VORSICHT die dekorative Pappe im Innerern ist sehr garstig und schwarfkantig!

Sturdy. Solves the problem with having unmanageable ricebags. I like the fact that one can open the lid in different ways. Perfect for keeping rice. Will buy again if needed. Thanks!
