Good coffee table book and good drinks
Got this for my fiancé as a coffee table book and he loves it. Good drink recipes and fun to look through. There are pictures for every cocktail which makes it nice to look at

A Beautiful, Informative, and Almost Completely Impractical Book
First, I'll echo all the other reviews: this is a gorgeous book, outside and in. My benchmark in elegant coctail books is "The Aviary Cocktail Book", and CTNC is easily equal to that book. In addition to the aesthetics, the recipes are imaginative and complex, and that's where the challenge comes in. I have what I believe is a large collection of spirits, bitters, cordials, etc. and I enjoy making complex and attractive cocktails at home. However, many (probably most) of the recipes call for esoteric spirits and modifiers. Granted, there are specs for all of the syrups, tinctures and what-nots called for. But for example when 2+ cups of fresh galangal juice is required for one modifier for one cocktail, we've kinda run off the rails. To me, this in no way negates the value of this book; just be aware that unless you are super-hardcore, you're unlikely to make 90% of these drinks.

Beautiful Coffee Table Book
I bought this as a gift and it was so pretty and fun to look at I got one for myself too. Yummy recipes but often odd ingredients. Pictures are beautiful too!

Beautiful high quality cocktail book
Beautiful book, quality cover and pages, presents really well, linen material on cover etched. Looks great in my bar cabinet, very classy. Highly recommend. Best price I could find and prompt delivery

Arrived damaged
The book condition is terrible. Is it cracked and looks like it was in a water damage. The box it came in was fine so it was clearly shipped already damaged.
