Switched to UK mode without requiring configuration. Works for speed typing.
Very solid keyboard for typing or office based and provides a lot of light up features:-Geeky GK61 60% | Hot Swappable Mechanical Gaming Keyboard | 61 Keys Multi Color RGB LEDArrives and you realise what 60% is when looking at a keyboard against a laptop...slightly smaller.Plugged in and instantly seen by Operating System and didn't go for the Software Download to see if its ok to switch between machines. No issues with desktop or laptop for plugging in and starting to type.UK settings applied without asking, the # above the 3 was replaced by £ as per UK keyboard configs. Quick use of the FN key to locate where the # went - hidden on the \| key.Overall, very useful if needing a touch type keyboard that can also double up for gaming....or in my case, provide various light functions to break the day up. Would say that the Red has a slightly stronger feel to the keys than some generic supplied keyboards (that come with corporate devices) and actually works better for my kind of touch typing. You know you have pressed a key without looking at the keyboard. After 2 days of just normal rainbow changing lights, there was a failure of one LED under the Enter keyboard. You can see in the photo that the Red light is not visible and when going to the aqua\green colour, there is only Yellow working. It did flicker before it went so think that its one LED out. Not a showstopper as it would help show where the Enter key is but not what I had in mind.

Decent entry level mechanical keyboard
I think this a decent entry level cheap mechanical 60% keyboard. In my photos you can see this Geeky keyborad in white (£30) comared to my Techware Phantom in black (around £50). The first thing that stands out is how much brighter and more saturated the Geeky LEDs are, it really does look the part and absolutely looks better than the Phantom. There are brown switches in both keyboards and I find the Geeky ones aren't as nice as the Phantom ones, the tactile response is sometimes quite dull and other times feels like normal browns so I don't trust them to feel the same every time, whereas they alway feel clear and clean in the Phantom. Having said this I can trust the Geeky to actuate quickly and correctly on my PC every time and works fine for gaming and typing. The brown switches sound like any other browns, a very soft click as it actuates plus the sound of the key hitting the board (if you press keys down all the way). Pressing the keys feels a bit heavy handed to me I prefer a keyboard that reqires a lighter touch but it's not too bad. The keycaps themselves feel comfortable to use and have a nice profile. The keyboard feels sturdy and pretty well made but the cable is not amazing, does the job though. It's nice that it's so moddable if you want to change anything out and you can customize the lighting. You also get 2 spare switches and a keycap puller. Overall it's a solid little keyboard for the price that really looks great and does the job properly! For those new to buying keyboards in the UK, be aware that this is a US layout keyboard which means it has some different keys to a UK version, not necessarily a problem but worth knowing what you're buying.

Not bad for an entry level mechanical keyboard!!!
I got this Geeky GK61 RGB gaming keyboard for my daughter, who like me has a RGB gaming setup and this keyboard fits perfectly with her desks colourful scene. The quality is decent and it delivers a good gaming experience for its price range. The lighting looks good, a nice brightness and works as expected and hot swapping keys is pretty easy to do with the tool which is included. The software also works well and can you used for lighting customisations, macros or for binding keys. One thing I don't really like though is that there are no height adjustments on the back and it just sits flat on the desk, other than that it’s not bad overall.

A Compact Powerhouse for Gamers
The Geeky GK61 is a compact mechanical gaming keyboard that packs a punch despite its diminutive size. As an avid PC gamer, this keyboard has pleasantly surprised me in several ways.Design & Build Quality:The GK61 boasts a minimalist yet stylish design with a white frame that complements any gaming setup. The 60% layout eliminates the numeric keypad and function row, resulting in a compact form factor that saves desk space. The keys are well-spaced and have a satisfyingly tactile feel. The build quality is decent, with a solid plastic construction, but it might not be as premium as some high-end mechanical keyboards. However, it's important to note that the keyboard's affordable price point compensates for this.Switches & Keycaps:The switches are known for their smooth keystrokes and linear actuation, making them great for gaming. The swappable feature allows me to customise my typing experience by easily swapping out switches without soldering. The keycaps are double-shot ABS plastic, which ensures durability and longevity. The legends are clear, and the RGB lighting shines through them brilliantly, enhancing the overall aesthetics.RGB Lighting:The GK61's RGB lighting is a great feature. With customisable lighting effects and vibrant colours, it adds a dynamic visual element to your gaming setup. The included software allows for extensive customisation, so you can create unique lighting profiles to match your style or game theme.Compatibility:The keyboard is compatible with both PC and Mac, and it comes in an ANSI US American layout, which is familiar and easy to use. However, it might not suit those requiring other layout options.Software & Customization:The software, while functional, could be more user-friendly. It allows for customisation of key functions and RGB lighting, but it might take some time to get used to. Nevertheless, it's a powerful tool for personalising your keyboard. Conclusion:The Geeky GK61 is an excellent option for gamers looking for a compact, hot-swappable mechanical keyboard with impressive RGB lighting. Its affordable price point, customisable switches, and vibrant RGB effects make it a compelling choice. While it may not match the build quality of more expensive alternatives, it offers a solid gaming experience and a unique aesthetic. If you can overlook some minor software quirks and are comfortable with the 60% layout, the GK61 is a worthy addition to your gaming arsenal.
