Works as designed
Used with a low power bluetooth receiver in my car connected to vehicle with aux jack. Had ground loop when device powered or any other device connected to the aux jack. This solved it. However, as stated, it provides only low power output; one reviewer documented it. Sufficient for my little device fortunately. Use it as designed and it works. No idea how long it will last.

Waste of money yeah cancels the humming noises however not enough power to keep up to charge a phone
Absolutely waste of money in my work truck I do not have Bluetooth on my radio I only have AUX so I use a double-ended 3.5 mm headphone cord to go between the radio and phone's headphone jack but when I plug the phone into the charger of the truck whether it be the built-in USB of the truck or the cigarette lighter with USB charging adapter I get buzzing through the speakers just eliminates the buzzing however my phone doesn't charge it does not pass enough power through it to charge my phone I thought it was charging slowly way slower than normal but using this device for about 2 weeks 10 hours a day it didn't seem to be working so I plugged it into a USB to USB power meter and it was only showing maybe a quarter of an amp max output which isn't enough to keep up with the phone ... Go with the 3.5 mm noise canceling adapter it looks similar to this but it's a little smaller rounder and it hooks through the headphone port rather than USB

Instantly killed my ground loop problems!
I have a Cox cable system feeding my TV. The cable box is grounded to the incoming coax cable. For whatever reason, the Cox ground is at a different voltage potential than my house ground, causing (loud) audio hum for any output device connected to my NUC.On the NUC, I run Roon music player. My audio path is NUC USB out to an AudioQuest Dragonfly Red, and from there directly to my power amplifiers. The only problem I had with this ground loop interrupter is that the back of the NUC is crowded, and the broad "shoulders" of this device prevented me from plugging it directly into the NUC (physical interference). My solution was to plug in another device that would fit. So my signal chain is now: AudioQuest Jitterbug (plugged directly into the NUC) + this ADUM isolater (plugged into the Jitterbug + AudioQuest Dragonfly Red (plugged into the isolator) + 1/8" analog stereo plug to dual RCA outputs (plugged into the Dragonfly). And before anyone jumps on me, yes - I've read the reports saying that the Jitterbug does nothing. In my case, I'm just using it as a spacer, so I don't care if it works or not (I bought mine used on eBay for virtually nothing). This leaves a train of devices hanging off of the delicate NUC USB outlet port. To prevent NUC damage, I've used a couple of wooden spacers to support the Dragonfly and remove stress from the NUC motherboard. So, from an electrical standpoint, the ADUM ground-plane isolator works GREAT. For the price, I recommend it highly!Boomzilla (aka Glenn Young)

Fixes USB ground loop issues! Not for charging phones!
This device fixed my problem! Had audio noise on a Motorola GR1225 going through a Masters Communications RA-25 USB interface. I tried everything. In-line audio noise filter, eliminating ground loops, extra grounding, etc. Nothing fixed it until I plugged this device in! Amazing! I can see where other people may have an issue with charging phones etc. That is not what it is for so don't complain that it is a bad product. It works!I wish it was cheaper but hey, if it solves a problem, I'll pay the $$$.

It works - understand what you buy
The reviews on this item are all over the place. At least partly this appears to be connected to unrealistic expectations.First, let's get the basics out of the way. This is a cheap Chinese device and quality control is accordingly. So, yes some percentage will have LEDs not working or not work at all. There is a reason I am not giving it 5 stars.Second, the seller is not promising that you can charge your phone though this thing or run any device that draws a lot of power from USB. If this is what you are trying to do, don't buy this or any similar isolator. If you need an isolator for such a device, make sure it promises to deliver the amount of power you need. Note that these will also be bigger and significantly more expensive. An reasonably priced alternative might be an isolator that features a power supply connection on the device side. However this will work fine with devices that supply their own power and do not run off USB or devices that require little power, such as a USB/serial dongle. This is what I am using it for and it solved a significant noise problem I had with my CNC router.

Does not work with a DAC
i connected it directly to my IMAC USB port and then to a hub. When connected, the DAc wont recognize the connection, nor will the Imac/pc. DO NOT BUY if you are using a DAC.

not sure what this is for
Just a cautionary tale -This did not work for me. In fact, my usb audio interface simply does not work at all with this in place. I am still giving it 3 stars because maybe it will work for whatever you need it for, but...If you are like me and have a bad EMI/Coil Whine noise that comes out of your speakers when your computer's GPU/cpu?, but mainly GPU is working hard, be advised that my Focusrite Scarlett usb audio interface simply does not work when run through this. And I have the 8i6 model, which is not powered by the usb bus, so.... yeah, I did not get to the point where I tried to see if my speakers would be quiet while gaming. My speakers became quiet when.... well, my speakers aren't speaking any kind of sound with this standing between the cord and the PC.
