Easy to make hose repair.

I fixed a hose with this almost two years ago and it's still going strong. Just make sure it's the right size.

I've used other similar connectors on a wider hose (5/8") with great success. Very similar in appearance but this time needed for 1/2" hose and the other brand didn't come in this size.My hose is not thick, but these would not fit over the outer part of the hose. They are designed incorrectly for what seems to be a standard size 1/2" hose. Others have reported a similar issue - but I thought they were dealing with unusually wide exterior. Not the case. Looking for an alternative now.

Most garden hoses are 3/4in and these are 1/2 so make sure you size them right or they really don't work. Assuming you get all the sizes right these work OK, about as well as any of the same tier of alternative. Not the best by far and probably break down over time even if you get a perfect seal off the bat. I wouldn't probably trust them for a long term always-on application but for a quick splice on an older hose that gets occasional use it works fine, especially for the price. You get a bunch so you might even be OK if you don't mind checking and maintenance on an always-on system for a while even if you have to replace a few.An OK option for patching a hose but something a bit more beefy might be warranted for a better fix.

These hose repair kits are so much better than any I have ever used. So simple to install a child could do it. They are very sturdy and since they are plastic, they never rust. I have had several of them on weep hoses in my garden for 3 years, they are just as good now as they were when I installed them. The only very small complaint I have is that you have to screw the ends on really tight or they leak, but again, a small thing. Highly recommend this product.

The adapter fit the inner diameter of my hose, but not the outer diameter (the hose was too thick). I think this will be quite convenient for a thin-walled hose, but a thick-walled hose will not fit through the green screw cap.
