AZULLE Byte3 8GB/32GB Fanless Windows 10 Pro Mini PC & Lynk Multifunctional Remote Control (Bundle)

I bought this to replace an Azulle Quantum Access stick that was getting inferior wifi reception. It is fast and easy to install, and of course, quiet. I haven't tested it for power consumption yet but I would guess that it is fairly low, though not as low as the stick. My only ding on the Byte is that the Ethernet port shows activity through an embedded led in the port. I'll have to see if I can disable this as it's pretty bright. I've only started playing around with the Lynk remote a little bit so far, but it seems to do what it's supposed to and does it pretty well. It has a lot of functionality though, so it will take me a while to fully learn to use it.

The memory in the system is incredibly small. You absolutely should install a 2.5 inch drive and make sure you put all new apps on that drive. Even though my unit is supposed to be quad core and 8GB ram, it cannot handle multitasking very well. Try to stay focused on one task at a time. Now with that being said, it is quiet, small, and even comes with a remote (I also bought the bluetooth remote which I have still not figured out how to use). I am rating this pretty highly because it really is just for media watching, and in that function, it is fine.

This computer works well... windows 10 is not so great and does not seem to support a plug-in DVD player well...

This is a very small device - it's about the size of a 5-port wireless router. You can even mount it to the back of a monitor, so it takes up little to no space on or around your desk. It has both ethernet and wireless capability, so you can go sans wires or (like me) stick with your faster, more secure ethernet connection.I use this device as a spare PC in my office. I do my everyday work on a thin client connected to a terminal server. Thin clients are great but are limited when it comes to some basic PC functionality. I have connected this device to a network storage drive, a scanner, a labeler, a card reader, and my mobile devices so I can share data across networked drives and the OneDrive account I use on my terminal server. It's great - I can scan a bunch of documents in my office that automatically show up on my terminal server session where people working remotely can easily access them.I also have a couple of Roku Ultra devices (ie, the ones with an ethernet port) and would consider using one of these instead. Then I could just use a Roku app but also use my TV as a PC monitor when I feel like working from the couch instead of my office.
