We have a front loader washing machine that our clothes were beginning to smell musty after we washed them a few years ago. Looked online for solutions and came across these tablets to clean your washing machine. After one round of cleaning, our clothes began to smell much better. Just pop them into the washing machine with an empty load, turn the washing machine to clean mode and let these get to work. Easy as it gets. There are enough loads to do a couple times a month for a year. We have found that cleaning the washing machine with these about once a month after you get the machine clean and is enough ongoing. It may take a few iterations to get to this point and twice a month is probably smart. They are extremely effective and something that everyone should be doing but I am guessing most people never think about until there is a problem. After the cleaning cycle is done, there is no residue left in the washing machine and it is ready for a load of clothes. Sometimes I do notice that there is some foaming left but it really dissipates quickly when finished. Just another tip that I have found over the years is to keep the front door open when not in use to allow the air in and dry things out so mold and mildew don't build up.

Wow! IMPRESSED! SERIOUS YUCK & BARF at the crud & slime that I literally wiped out of my old front-load Kenmore washer. I used the hottest water setting with 1 pod, then wiped & cleaned around the seal. Then, tossed in a 2nd because I wanted to be sure that all that nasty crud was gone. I removed crystallized chunks of build-up from around the rim & drum with a cloth & washing machine brush. The results are incredible! The results?? ----Smell very clean & fresh. --ALL dark MOLD ON THE SEAL IS GONE, even though almost 20 years of scrubbing & bleach did nothing. -- The Musky/Moldy smells are gone. ----DOG HAIR BUILDUP is gone & the residual hair was easy to remove, and there was a lot of it. --The washer runs like it's new again. -- Efficiency & spin-out unquestionably improved. -- Clothes are cleaner without repeated washing. ---And the washer no longer sounds like a cow screaming in the laundry room. I am a new consumer. Not paid. i am so glad I tried it & I HIGHLY recommend this product! Definitely 5 stars from me!

i love these, it’s so easy to pop them in and run the machine and any sort of smell or dirt is essentially gone! they give you a good amount as well i think enough for like a year’s worth of regular cleaning. but it’s cheap and worth a shot if you’re looking for a cleaner!

Easy to use, just pop it into the machine and clean. Does not have a great deal of residue, and works efficiently, basically odor free and there is enough for the year.

These tablets worked quite well for me. I think it is a bit funny that some of the reviews state that these tablets did not remove the smell and are therefore no good and a waste of money. If you have a front loader, you must follow standard protocol to keep the washing machine clean and dry. ALWAYS keep the door open when not in use. ALWAYS dry the door's interior and wipe out the rubber seal drying it as best as you can after your final load for the day. And after watching a video, I'm starting to remove the soap dispenser and drying that out after the last load. The video also provided information that with HE detergents, only 2 tablespoons are all that are required per load to get clothes clean. And to see if you are using too much, simply run a hot water cycle with nothing in the dispenser. When during the first washing cycle, see if there are any soap bubble. The water itself will bubble, but if there are actual bubbles of soap, you are using too much detergent. And when you use too much detergent, it cannot be fully rinsed out. Modern washing machines use less water, so that excess soap remains in the washing machine and attracts "gunk". That promotes mold and mildew and odors.

Good for the price and seems to do the job. However, I noticed water leaking from underneath my washing machine after using it, which I haven’t experienced before. I’m not sure if it was related to the tablet, but I’ll probably try a different one next time.
