This is my go-to now when I have a cold. It minimizes the symptoms and shortens the duration of the cold. I have less body aches, sore throat, congestion, and coughing. I love this stuff.

I constantly buy this product again and again, and I recommend it to others because of how effective it is at boosting your immune system! The key to getting the most out of it is taking it early on (as soon as you notice symptoms of a cold). When I do this, I'm always able to avoid catching a cold!

These are great. Medication is usually associated with side effects. Umcka on the other hand tastes good (it doesn't taste astonishing but doesn't taste bad at all, very easy to take) and has no side effects whatsoever. You just take it worry-free, even if you're not sure you're sick! These do run out fast when you're sick though so I wouldn't take these willy nilly (if you're sick it recommends taking 4-5 tablets a day and there are 20 in a box, you'd be out in a few days). Aches & Pains Fever and chills Sore throat Hoarseness Cough Chest Congestion / Bronchitis Runny / Stuffy Nose Sneezing Sinus / Head Congestion Headache Out of these, I can so far (after using a box worth and on my second box) say that these effectively treat sore throat, hoarseness, cough, chest congestion, and runny/stuffy nose. I'm not sure about headache (I haven't had headache but I'm not sure if that's because of umcka) but I can say that these have gotten rid of my last sickness and is keeping my current illness at bay. It's preventing it from getting any worse and is helping the symptoms too. Don't take this as an expert opinion, but umcka seems to be just as good as guaifenesin (Mucinex brand) is at helping loosening mucus. I got some guaifenesin today and tried it instead of umcka and it doesn't seem to have any greater effect on mucus than the umcka did. Sambucus vs Umcka This is something I really had no idea about when I was purchasing these two. There isn't much information on these two products (they should be more popular than they are). I tried Sambucus and Umcka side to side and in conjunction and can not see what the difference is (it's hard to measure short-term results). Sam Montana on knoji.com asked Nature's Way about Sambucus and Umcka and this is a portion of the reply he received. "Umcka is not a product you use as a preventative it is used when a problem is present. Sambucus is a product that can be taken to help prevent a serious illness during the cold and flu season. I would look at using this product to prevent and use Umcka as a good partner if you do come down with something. Thank you" After reading this I found this to be true. Umcka may actually be better for relieving symptoms but Sambucus is better at preventing a cold or flu from ever starting or preventing it in the early stages.

I tried both Umcka Cold and Flu & the plain Umcka and didn’t notice a remarkable difference in either product. Both had similar results for us. There’s some good research out there about umcka. In addition to other natural ways of reducing the severity and length of colds and flu for my family, I’ve started incorporating this product at the first signs of illness. I started with a chewable, because it is usually my kids that get sick. My son likes the taste of these. They can be pricey when you consider how quickly you’ll go through a box taking it to to 4 times a day. I purchased the same product in a liquid form from another brand: Integrative Therapeutics - V Clear EPs 7630. I’m kind of doing a comparison right now, but I can control the serving size better with the liquid for my younger child, rather than splitting a chewable tablet. As to whether or not this works, this is my third time using it during an illness, and it does seem to work. It’s not a magical thing, but illnesses seem to peak and turn around more quickly. I also am a hard-core believer in elderberry for anything that is suspected viral. Because we do so many other things at the first sign of illness, it’s sometimes hard to know if one thing is working more effectively than others. However, I have found that cutting out dairy and sugar altogether (or at the first sign of sickness), starting this Umcka, Sambucus, echinacea, vitamin C, and immune supporting essential oils, and we just do not seem to get a sick as other people do with the same bug.

This stuff is amazing! Ive been so sick since the 29th of Dec. I took one Chewable and within hours I stopped coughing, my nose stopped running and now today the body aches are gone. Highly recommend this product because it works! I've taken 2 a day instead of the 3 recommended and so glad I am finally feeling better!

I have used these before. It looks like the packaging has changed but seems to be the same great item. These are wonderful and need support chewables that you take a few times a day at the on-site of just not feeling that great. Again, I’ve used this brand for many years and Lovett UMCA products. They taste fine. They are a little sweet so if that is a dealbreaker for you then maybe not this one but I don’t mind. I’ll take the benefits over a little bit of the sugar. Again I’ve used these for years and will continue to buy them! Thank you, nature’s way!!!
