Royal Dirt Devil Tank, Clean Water Ry7910

Exact replacement, fast arrival time, great price here on Amazon. I'm so glad to find this and keep my Dirt Devil Platinum carpet cleaner going. This is the 2nd replacement water tank I've had to buy because the design of these is so flawed - the "hinge" of the tank is molded into the thin, fragile clear plastic of the tank itself. It's about as durable as a disposable 1.5 liter beverage container. Even with extraordinary care, over time they eventually crack and leak. And if while inserting the tank it slips and drops literally just 12" from the floor onto a rug or carpet it cracks and is destroyed. It's too bad no one ever created an improved replacement. A better design would have been to integrate a hinge out of the same hard plastic as the top handle of the tank. But Dirt Devil is a very cheap low end brand, so what would you expect.

After searching various websites for a perfect replacement for the my old rug shampooer's cracked water tank. I broke the original tank when it slipped out of my hands while I was filling it with hot water. This tank from Amazon was a perfect replacement. It fits into the shampooer just a well as the original, plus the water valve at the bottom of the tank is improved over the original tank's valve.

Purchased as a replacement for a leaking water tank in a Royal Procision 7910 - it works perfectly and the carpet cleaner was back in action within minutes of opening the box. The plastic doesn't feel as thick as the original, so we'll take extra care not to knock the corners while filling/replacing but it does slot straight in as a replacement. So far so good!

Revived my old carpet cleaner; just needed a new rubber washer for the bottom, had to buy the whole tank. Was SO worth it. Dealer here couldnt find one! Yay Amazon!! I'm back in business!!

Fits and looks at least as sturdy as the original.Perhaps it could have had a longer delivery time, so that I could procrastinate longer... ;-)
