As others have said, it makes a great base for smoothies, providing both tangy flavor and a thicker texture. Though expensive, the cranberry goes a long way when used in such a way. The deep red color it imparts also dresses them up if you care about such things.

The media could not be loaded.  We didn't pick this up out of a need for a thicker texture to ease swallowing, but rather as a means to give morning smoothies a thicker juice base. Combined with a few ice cubes and a couple of cups of frozen fruit, and you've got a very nice, chunky fruit smoothie.The best way to describe the flow of this "nectar consistency" juice is if you've ever picked up one of those frozen concentrated orange juice mix-in tubes, it's like if instead of mixing it with the adequate amount of water to properly dilute and just let it melt. The flavor is still at the proper levels of sweetness it's only the consistency that is on par with one of those melted tubes.Flavor-wise, it's good old-fashioned orange juice. It's not as crisp as really good fresh-squeezed stuff, but aside from the consistency there's no notable change from the typical pulp-free pre-made orange juice's you're likely used to consuming.***Overall Value***Compared to normal thickness orange juice this has a notably higher mark-up due to the special need it's fulfilling for folks who need help swallowing, but honestly if you were to buy this pour half a cup and then add half a cup of water and stir, you could effectively have a normal glass of orange juice. Meaning there is also some value here as a space saver in camping preparation if you want an option for orange juice without having to use a powder or drag along a bigger jug.

Yes, it's thick. That's not what bothered me because I don't mind thick drinks. But I really couldn't hack the taste. It was like an apple-flavored sugar-free syrup if that makes any sense. But not quite the consistency of syrup.This is necessary for those with swallowing issues but I wouldn't buy it unless you have to. At least not the apple. Maybe some of the other flavors are better.Keep in mind this has zero sugar. No added sugar, no sugar substitutes - just none. It tastes like they even took the sugar out of the apple or used very bland apples. If you add sugar, it DOES taste better.And even for what it is, it seems very expensive.

Works better for cooking for me. The nectar consistency of this apple juice is perfect for my needs. It's tastes really good, but weird to drink. I imagine it is perfect if you have specifc needs.

I'm surprised by how thick this juice is! It's more like a syrup drink. It has a strong smell and great flavor. I'd say it has a little less 'potency' (flavor-wise) than regular apple juice. As someone who doesn't have swallowing problems, I'd say I prefer regular apple juice more as well. But this would be great for some one who does need swallowing assistance!

This is basically thick orange juice and although it's a bit on the thicker side, it's not too hard to swallow. I would say biggest issue I had with this is that you don't really taste the orange juice much but the little bit of a nectar taste makes up for it. What I started to do due to how lacking in sweet it tasted was adding sugar and that's just the right mixture to give this a good flavor with a sweet kick.It does come with coasters which aren't terrible but aren't really all that great either but an unexpected extra thing to come with the drinks. I feel the most important thing to note with this drink is it's palatable where-as a lot of others that are similar for the purpose of making things easy to swallow are quite simply, not.I enjoyed it and although it's not the best, for what it is it's pretty good.
