This works very well to bond the nail polish to the nail. Keeps it fromcoming off so easily. It’s thin, just like other base coats. Easy to apply and it’s clear. Doesn’t leave much of shine, feels sticky to the touch after it dries, that’s normal. It dries very fast.

I’ve struggled with my nails for years. Traditional polish would peel off within hours, and while gel manicures lasted longer, repeated use and removal gradually left my nails thinner and more damaged. I had pretty much accepted that long-lasting manicures just weren’t in the cards for me. Then I discovered Orly Bonder. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but the difference has been dramatic. For the first time, I can keep a manicure looking good for 7–10 days without major chipping or peeling. My polish adheres better, my nails stay protected, and I’m no longer constantly touching up or starting over. The biggest surprise is that my natural nails are actually improving. Instead of relying on gels or enhancements, I’ve been able to grow my own nails while keeping them polished and protected. Combined with regular nail oil and gentle filing, this has completely changed my nail routine. I’ve tried a lot of nail products over the years, and very few have made such an obvious difference. If you struggle with polish longevity, this is the one product I’d recommend first.

Before I used this base coat my glitter and shimmer nail polish wouldn’t stay on. It would chip easily, even with a good top coat, and eventually began to just slide off my nails. I’m active around my house, so nail polish has to stay on through washing dishes, constant cleaning, and handwashing. This base coat makes my manicure last at least a week. I highly recommend. Fantastic base that dries down quickly. It will definitely keep your manicure intact for a while. The only thing to keep in mind is that it does contain PVB, which did cause my nails to start peeling after a while.

I love this product it has helped my nails and my manicure and pedicure last longer. It has helped a nail I have vertical split in my nail.

If I could give this 6 stars I would! I've tried so many products to help fingernail polish actually stay on my nails and this is the only thing that works.

Update: after months of using this as a topcoat too, ends of nails starting peeling. Looked into it and as a base coat this is still the best. As a topcoat is keeps polish soft through the layers and gets moisture trapped, so I’ve switched to Orly Polishield as my topcoat as it has a hardening agent in it. So much better! I’m 73 and have done my own nails all my life because I enjoy it! I have bought every base and topcoat known to man. Never got to 7 days without chips, cracks and peeling polish. I bought this the beginning of August. I put one coat on my natural nails as a base coat, two coats of polish and one more of this product as a topcoat. A full 14 days later, it did not chip once. At worst, about mid week of the second week it starts to thin and wear a little at the tips only. I did it a second time because I thought the first time was a fluke. I used an expensive polish the first time and a $2 bottle the second. Same results. This is the real deal!

My nails have been thin and flaky for as long as I can remember - probably because I've been a nail-biter for as long as I can remember too! I've been really good about not biting my nails for the past year, but my nails are still quite fragile and I was constantly having to cut them down and file them after splitting. I was recommended this by a friend. It comes with your standard nail varnish brush applicator, and it goes on easy. It dries down quickly and leaves a somewhat rubbery base behind. Personally, my preference at the moment is natural nails, so I put on a couple of coats of the ORLY Bonder, then a clear matte top coat to dull the shine. Not only does it do a great job as a base coat, but my nails don't flex half as much as they used to, nor do they flake or split! The tops of my nails are longer than they've ever been, and that includes the short time that I went for regular gel appointments too. At the price, it's a great product and I highly recommend trying it for anyone struggling to grow their nails.
