Two great figures for the (near) price of one
I got this 2-Pack to replace one of my Iron Man figures, whose left leg broke off after just two weeks of use. I decide to get this 2-Pack for $15 instead of the singular figure, which was around $12, so I got another figure for just an extra $3. I'm really glad with that decision, as I've enjoyed both figures greatly, mainly Iron Man, considering that the Extremis Armor is one of my absolute favorites. Both figures have great articulation, especially Thor, whose only problem is his neck articulation due to his hair. Iron Man has problems in the ankles and the looseness of his left thigh, though mine doesn't seem loose enough to break off like the last one's did. The sculpts on both figures are great, like how Thor's face is similar to the art of Olivier Coipel, whose art is found in the free comic book that is included with these figures. This 2-Pack doesn't come with stands, so be wary of that. The accessories are pretty bare bones in that Thor just gets his hammer and that's it for both. Overall, this set deserves a 4.5 out of 5.

I like the figures but I loved the comic book
I like the figures but I loved the comic book!!! I really wish that Hasbro could continue these series, the only down side of this package was that some of thors limbs are loose but they pop back right in pretty easily. Other then that I recamend this for any fan of comics or simply building a Marvel Universe collection.

Who will win?!
GREAT PACK! Of course THOR is what makes it. But IRON-MAN is not bad, yes he could have been a bit bulkier(torso), I mean he is a man in armor, not C3PO. They are both well articulated, THOR best. Split upper-thigh and even a rotating waist. Neither have sideways pivot ankles. IRON-MAN has one advantage over THOR, his head can tilt far back, great for flight poses. Maybe if THOR's hair was bent upward that would help?

Good set with some paint problems.
This is one of the less notable Marvel Universe two-packs, as both figures are available individually and the differences here are barely noticeable. But as Modern Thor is one of the best MU figures Hasbro has put out so far, this set is definitely worth a look for collectors who don't have either figure yet. Thor is large, well sculpted, and impressively detailed for a figure his size. He looks pretty much like a scaled-down version of Diamond Select's Thor figure, which itself was among that company's best. Iron Man isn't quite as well done. I appreciate that Hasbro actually bothered to do a true Extremis figures. Most "Extremis" toys are more generic Modern Iron Man figures and lack the sleek, smooth lines of the Extremis suit. The problem is that Iron Man isn't proportioned that well. His torso is too small, while his legs are practically chubby by comparison. He looks a bit bow-legged when displayed with his stand, and not quite large enough in comparison to Thor. It's a decent figure, but not up to par with the offerings in the Iron Man solo line. The one problem with these two figures in relation to the single-packed version is the paint. The colors used here are slightly brighter, and on Iron Man you may notice several areas of the armor that are subtly altered. With Thor, his cape is a much brighter shade of red. The downside is that the paint tends to bleed. Every single time I've seen this pack in the store, Thor has had red paint bleeding into his armor. Iron Man's paint defects are less obvious or recurring, but the general quality just isn't up to that of the individual figure. If you have a desire to add these two to your collection (and in the case of Thor you really should), you're better off hunting for the individual versions first. If that fails, this pack may be worth looking into, but only if you can visually inspect it first.

Great figues
I gave this to my kid for Christmas. I am not sure where the comic is right now but I see these figures lying around the house and in the car so I know he is playing with them. I know the last time we were in a restaurant I was. Iron Man is cool but in a fight he is not taking down Thor. Just sayin.

Finally... a toy kids can learn to read with AND settle fictional differences in mortal combat between god-like powered men
I know what you're thinking. How could a man in an iron suit, popularized today by some goofy guy from the 80's, compete with an actual thunder god of Norse legend? Don't underestimate the power of pain management that Tony Stark's alcoholism can induce in him during a pitched battle. If it came to blows between these two, Iron Man has the advantage as his comic book series usually already blew until the recent movies made him cool to little kids again. General rule of thumb here -- if the actor who plays the thunder god looks like he could beat the actor who plays the playboy millionaire drunken womanizer in a suit of armor that shoots laser beams and rockets, his character will probably win the fictional version of the fight. Plus... and this is a big one... capes make people look mad official and help keep people from judging your body from behind. He could very well backstep all the way to Iron Man, talking junk, and then BAM... turns around and he's all God of Thunderish and ripped holding a freaking two-sided hammer. What what? Spoiler alert -- Thor wins. But on a side note, another winner was my nephew... who got this item as a present form his awesome uncle Brett who's never at family functions but thinks fondly of them all from work anyway. I hope this comic book that came with this toy set will either get my nephew addicted to the joys of reading like they did to me as a young man, or at least provide him something to roll up and hit his sister with.
