It will hold 1 litre max (I bought the larger 4-6 person)

Hi there, the lid doesn’t have a hole in it. I absolutely love it. Just came with a different design. It looks rustic and very traditional.

Could this be used on charcoal like the traditional cooking of tagines in Morocco?

Can i use it on a gas stove?

The traditional tagines are mostly used on fire or gas stoves. Just make sure to cook on low heat otherwise it may crack. Traditional clay doesn’t like high heat or changes in heat. Wash only in sink with mild detergent. Enclosed was a little heat diffuser to distribute heat evenly but I am not sure if this is used on gas stoves. I think there were some instructions with it if I remember correctly. Make sure you don’t skip those steps! Alternatively look on the internet. There is a lot of advice.
