Excellent button press
The media could not be loaded. I highly enjoyed this being my first button press. I read a lot of the reviews that showed the mylar (plastic film) not being great but the only thing I found is that if you don't do the first part of the press right the first time you don't get a second chance which is why the mylar is reviewed as "bad." Some of the plastic backings had little defects like little bits sticking out but they were easy to cut off and smooth out. Overall this is an excellent machine if you're looking to make buttons quickly and easily. Would also suggest not just using straight printer paper but photo paper instead if you're looking for your pin to look it's best since you can definitely see the lack of glass in standard printer paper behind the mylar. Would buy again and am looking forward to buying plates in other sizes so I can make a wider range of pin sizes.

solid machine, HUGE number of button blanks, great deal!
This thing arrived promptly and I assembled it in about 5 minutes. The instructions are a little vague on how the base goes together, but even so the device is highly intuitive and easy to assemble. The only complaint I'd have is my failure to understand how much space a thousand buttons takes up! I have bags and bags of buttons and backs!I am a writer and an artist. I use the buttons for my art and to promote my books. I highly recommend, if you get this, you look online for button templates. Hole punches are a bit of a pain to line up with everything, but getting a template is easy and free, and makes it painless. Once my kids got home they were making buttons with Toothless and the Light fury - and my kids are both under 8. I had no issues with the die as I've seen in other reviews, and the machine is sturdy and solid. Thanks!

Does not work
So I've NEVER written a review before. But I'm only doing this to help other consumers. I've seen different reviews for this and many of the negative reviews have very similar responses. From an objective point of view, I feel like these machines are somewhat hit or miss. I ordered 1 and it barely made any buttons. About 1/10 buttons were feasible. I requested a replacement instead of getting a refund and I did button after button, probably close to 50 or so, and NONE worked.I tried different paper, matched with the mylar shape, tried making a button WITHOUT ink, just plain paper (because some online sources say print form an laser printer could cause possible crimping issues due to wax or whatnot). Then I'm pretty sure I used all the correct materials. I then saw online about a little slick stick for putting on the machine so the mylar doesn't slip around. Honestly I don't buy that that is the reason the buttons all failed. I think it's just the design of the machine. If it IS true that I HAVE to have other specialized products to actually make buttons, then I feel they should tell you. It's advertised as a machine that's ready-to-go, it seems with the supplies.Overall, very disappointing. I get that SOME machines people have gotten may work. I've noticed this same problem with many of the other types of machines like this. There seems to be no consistency. It's almost a hit and miss with them. My suggestion: don't risk it unless you want to face a very real possibility of disappointment.I mean notice the reviews. It's not like MOST of them are 5 stars and then trickle down. They are completely spread out. THAT is a red flag in and of itself. Don't try it.The design defect, I feel, is that it doesn't crimp or fold over just due to the design of the machine. Like I said though, you MAY actually GET a good machine that works. It doesn't mean it's a good design overall. You just HAPPEN to have a good one. Before writing this review I also had reached out to the company. They wanted pictures and/or videos and such. Honestly, I don't have the time and don't want to engage in a several day/week ordeal going back and forth discussing the issues. The design is bad, or the design doesn't work for a lot of the times. I just wanted to pay for a product that works. It doesn't work, so I wanted a replacement. It was even worse so I asked what resolutions we can come up with. Once I was sent the message to do all this extra work, I decided "nope, I'm doing the refund and going to write a review". I'm not in it enough to invest in a back-and-forth honestly. No problems with the company, just this product. I haven't the experience yet with the company to say if they're trustworthy or not. It seems they are quick and easy to deal with so that's good! Just a bad situation I guess.I'm not angry or don't want to be negative. Just felt this issue was big enough to offer a warning to those seeking to spend good money for a quality product. I'd avoid this machine.

Good Product
I've read up on button makers and chose this when it came with 3 sizes. The "best" brand American Button Makers is rather pricey. So I chose this as a beginner. It is not difficult to set up and use but it does seem one out of 5 or 6 buttons doesn't come out and are wasted. I'll try oiling with mineral oil as suggested to see if I can have less losses. But the buttons that have turned out are nice. Time to see later about mirrors and key chains. I'm a author and so I am using this to make swag items to give to my readers. Its should be able to help me do that.

Simple to use
This came with everything I needed to immediately start making my own buttons. I will say, you need to stand and apply pressure evenly or it might not work quite right. I had a couple of oopsies. But once I figured it out it was easy to use. The buttons are high quality. Great starter setup.

Exactly what I was looking for!!
I’ve been thinking about buying a button maker for a while and could not decide which one to buy. I finally made up my mind and got the one that has interchangeable size options. I’m so glad I did!! Other than my initial mistake of inserting the paper the wrong way, every button has come out perfect! The instructions are not clear but once you set it up once, it is fine. It does feel a little wobbly. The base could be wider to keep it more stable. But still, a great machine! The box was squished when I received the package but everything inside was in good condition. So far it has been a great purchase. I think Vevor also makes construction tools and equipment so honestly that was the reason why I chose this brand. I figured if they can make good construction tools, they can make a good button maker.

Broken
This is not durable. I used it a couple times then one day the handle just broke off.It was easy to assemble and I loved that you did not have to use the little rings inside.Just very disappointed that it broke.
