The PH meter does not work. It reads between 7 &8 no matter what soil I put it in. I even put it in moistened coffee grounds which are extremely acid. and it still reads between 7&8. Moisture meter and light meter are working fine. But I bought this to test for ph on some very expensive and delicate plants. I have been watering with acid water for two weeks and the soil still reads the same. I’m worried now that I have damaged my plants and have had to flush them all and report some of them.

May be my fault though. This is a meter for SOIL testing. It doesn't work well for liquids and it says so in the listing. Many of the photos submitted show the meter sitting in cups of liquid so I assumed it would be OK but it's GROSSLY inaccurate for that. I purchased a digital meter for that and they registered different results.

What a buy! If you're looking for a great paper weight, look no more. This thing easily held a small stack of papers from a steady 3mph wind generated by my ceiling fan. I couldn't believe how well it worked. No movement at all while it's still in the packaging, and only slight movement when the soil meter is removed from the packaging (in terms of holding the papers down).Now, if you're looking for results from a soil test, you can just purchase this to use as a paper weight. It was absolutely useless as a soil meter. Different results every time i'd use it in the same spot. It's poorly made, and while it's flimsy design may work for inside plants in pots (assuming you can get it to take an accurate reading), trying this outdoors would not be wise unless you have very soft soil with no rocks or roots.STAY AWAY!

I cannot even express how much I love this thing. I check ph a couple hrs after watering, I checked light once to make sure my plants were properly placed and I check moisture levels every other day. With moisture and light you don’t have to wait the 10 mins, that’s only for pH, it gives you the reading right away. It’s awesome so I just go from plant to plant and I’m done in a couple of minutes. My plants have gotten so lushes and green and big now that I don’t even over or underwater and that that they are in the right spot in my home. The price on this is a steal for what it does. If you’re one to always kill your plants GET THIS.
