Got a 26 year old AC up and running! Saved the DAY!!!
100 degree temperatures is a bad time for the AC to stop working. A couple of simple YouTube videos and installed this in under 10 minutes with simple tools. Turn the thermostat down and sure enough the ol' system came back to life and has been working perfectly for the last two weeks!

Seams to work
Easy to install, added this when the run capacitor died in a 5 year old unit. Hope it helps the new one last longer. Only time will tell.

Great product.
Installed on my 16 year old Trane 5 ton A/C. Unit starts faster, quieter and runs quieter. Maybe may save some money on power bill. Easy to install.

If you have a freezer that quick working, meaning not starting, you can conduct a physical test on your start relay by unplugging your refrigerator, opening up the compartment at the back of your freezer, unplugging the start relay from the compressor, and then shaking the start relay. If you hear a rattling noise that sounds like dice in a can, your start relay will have to be replaced. And you can try this start capacitor. It worked on my Kenmore chest freezer.

Very competitively priced 2 pack of SPP6 hard start compressor kit
This product is made to help with compressors that are showing signs of wear and need a little extra help in the start and run cycles. Installation is quite simple and only requires this kit to be installed in parallel with the compressor RUN capacitor. Normally there is a relay that is included to switch out the extra capacitor in this kit, however I didn't take it apart to verify.Testing this on a slow starting 3 ton unit, it did help with the starting time and as such it did operate as advertised.One interesting fact that I did notice is the specification printed on the package. States that it's for 115V-288V and 1/2 to 10HP ( 4000 to 12,000 BTU) compressors. Most modern compressors are about 1HP per ton ( 12,000 BTU) and the above specification doesn't match.Unless I really missed the mark, the BTU specifications on the package should be updated! The product has no problem starting a 3 ton ( 36,000 BTU) unit.
