Surprisingly capable tester for Ethernet + fibre.
What I loved: Brilliant little toolkit for network work. The cable tester is accurate, quick, and easy to use โ picks up wiring faults instantly. The wire tracer works exactly as it should, even in noisy cable environments, and the PoE detection is super handy when youโre trying to figure out which switch is secretly feeding power to what. The optical power meter is a great bonus for fibre checks โ not pro-grade lab equipment, but more than good enough for field use and home labs. Build quality is solid, buttons feel responsive, and the display is clear and bright. What made me sigh loudly: Realising how many messy cables Iโve ignored for years because I didnโt have one of these sooner. Should you buy it? Yes โ absolutely. Whether youโre doing home networking, small business installs, or homelab fibre/SFP setups, this little kit is genuinely useful and great value for whatโs included. Accurate tests. Great tracer. Useful PoE and fibre tools. If this tester were a person, itโd be the IT mate who always turns up with the right tool and a spare cable, just in case. Would 100% recommend โ perfect addition to any networking toolkit.

Great help and amazing value for money.
After reading the manual it is very easy to use. Great value for money and saves a lot of time with checking the connections. The cable length checking can help detect a damaged wire. The size is alright. The functionality is simple and the quality is good too. For more money you get stronger plastics but this is good and comes with a carry case too. It is fast to use.

Decent - maybe a bit pricey compared to similar tester
Initial impressions are good. QC mode is handy for checking your RJ45 connector isn't busted. Tested it on my home network, and the tracer worked well. The cable length detector in quite a nice feature. Maybe allow for a 10-20% variance either way but seems accurate enough to help you measure on a job with a bit more precision that just eyeballing and guessing internal cable runs. I saw some reviews saying it was useless but it seems fine on the cables I know the approx lengths of. Anything under 2.5mtrs won't register, and just make sure you have the correct cable type selected (my quality varies on product batches but mine seems alright) It's a bit annoying to no have indicator lights on the tracer, which double up for your continuity testing. Meaning you need to have the main unit in hand to confirm the cable your testing. As points get further from the cabinet, it's a chore walking back to confirm and then back again to change ports (as opposed to a simple visual on the passive end to help speed thing up)... So bring an apprentice with you ๐ Strangely doesn't seem to charge with Type-C to Type-C cables . Has to be Type-C to Type-A. Feels a but cheaper to hold than it looks and there are comparable testers for around ยฃ20 cheaper than offer similar functionality. Might be concerned if I dropped it a couple of times as I don't think it will hold up to massive amounts of abuse. Haven't had a chance to test optical cable. If this it's terrible I'll update the review but otherwise assuming it's serviceable. POE testing is a nice feature with real time information. Handy for quick confirmation. Port Flashing is a bit meh. It does a quick flash and then goes off for ages before flashing again. Would be nice if you could control speed and even the pattern. Honestly it's not bad for the price. It might be better place around the ยฃ50-60 mark but it's a decent tool for quick testing. If you're a DIYer and only using it a handful of times, it's probably overkill. But like that circular saw you've only used twice... When you needed it, you needed it. Professional or not, it's seems like a half decent tool to use before you need to break out you more serious equipment.

Noyafa Network Tester: Outstanding Performance for the Price
The Noyafa network testing tool is a genuinely impressive bit of kit, especially for the price. It delivers performance that punches well above its weight, standing up surprisingly well when compared to premium brands like Fluke โฆ yet costing only a fraction of the money. In day-to-day use it feels solid and well put together, with a reassuring build quality that inspires confidence rather than feeling like a cheap alternative. Functionally, it does exactly what you need it to do, and does it reliably. Whether youโre tracing cables, checking continuity, or diagnosing basic network issues, it performs consistently and without fuss. The interface is straightforward to use, making it accessible for both seasoned technicians and those newer to network testing. The documentation isnโt perfect, there are a few minor grammatical slips, but itโs clear enough to follow and gets the job done. Overall, Noyafa has delivered a tool that offers outstanding value for money without cutting corners where it matters. Based on this experience, Iโd be genuinely keen to explore more of Noyafaโs range in a professional setting. If the team are ever looking for real-world feedback or would be open to trialling products with a hands-on user, Iโd be delighted to hear from them.

So far so good
Only had this a short while so as it stands - a 5 from me - an update may be necessary at some point but so far it's gotten me out of a whole lotta trouble more than once with wire trace and particularly IP scan. (Functions unheard of at this price) Carried out a good amount of cable continuity testing too and to be fair it performs well... a little slow to show results but not a deal breaker. As with other reviewers I find the power on the tracing wand is sometimes already on, when the bag is opened but a piece of well-placed foam in the bag when putting it away should solve this. Display can be hard to read in sunny conditions but acceptable most of the time. Torch on the wand is definitely not as bright as the video makes out but hey, we've all got torches on our phones! Build quality is OK; I work in the security industry so can be outside at control cabinets or up ladders at WiFi links or access points so worry about dropping it (even from waist height) or getting caught in a down-pour but you have to accept that for the money the feature rich options out-way any need for it to be more robust ...perhaps a lanyard clip would be good or just be more careful with it! A better case would also have been nice and perhaps higher contrast display for those aloof sunny UK days, but overall definitely worth the money.

Quick and easy verification of cables in a budget package
I was hesitant getting this as the cost difference between it and 'pro' tools was significant so I wondered what the catch was. I'm very glad I bought it as it's been a real life saver primarily for checking fibre runs at a multicampus site I manage, which has a spiders web of fibres of all sorts of types and quality. Often we had to resort to getting a 3rd party out to check the fibres which caused delays and was expensive, especially as we just wanted to verify if we could get a light down it for a later project. The tester allows me to test both single and multimode fibre patch cables and longer runs in the range of kms. This is a basic dBm reading, but is plenty for me. It does require a device on the send side to push light down, so a switch with an SFP is required for me to test a long run and verify the light is coming to the remote site. It does however have a basic red LED / laser light it can push down, but if you want to test the full run you'll either need to loop it back or have a second unit on the other side. If using for the fibre checking you will want some patch cables, SC at the tester end to various ends and of single & multi mode for the other end (unless your site uses a consistent connector type) I've not really used the other functions much, but the toner does work fine as do the copper cabling test tools. PoE checking is handy too. What it doesn't do, and I really wish it did, is CDP / LLDP on the copper port. Battery life is brilliant. I've not charged it since I bought it a year ago. A great tool for quick validation of links and cables which can be thrown in a bag for each technician while the bigger / expensive 'pool' tool stays in the office for fallback.
