i was diagnosed with posterior something something cataracts and will be having my first surgery in june, but right now it's april and my one eye is much worse than my other. so when i am reading, i tend to squint to keep my worse eye closed so i can read without the double vision. i bought these because i thought all of that squinting will give me wrinkles (so vain but it's true lol) and also i thought it would relax my worse eye too from not having to squint. it's very easy to put on your glasses. for me, i am nearsighted so as my eyes have progressively gotten worse, i have to take my glasses off when i read so i took a pair of old glasses, popped out the lens on my good side and used this to cover up the bad side. so now i can read without squinting and it has helped me focus my sight so reading is a little clearer. please note i only do this at home because i am not brave enough to be seen in public like this (ironic since i can barely see). just being honest. but they are very lightweight so they don't make your glasses any heavier at all, they stay put and do not move while you're wearing it and for myself anyways, i like that they don't block in my eye completely. while i am reading, my vision in the covered side is blacked out but i can still see light around the edges, i like that my eye is not 100% covered up, if that makes sense. and because it is the glasses holding up the patch, the patch is not directly on my eye so i do not have to keep my covered eye closed and i like being able to blink both eyes like normal. if i had longer lashes or fake lashes on, they would probably brush up against the cover but you have to pick your battles. for me, i am only using this while i can still read with my better eye before my surgeries and only in the privacy of my home so i don't care how fancy it looks. i can keep both eyes open like normal and blink like normal and this helps to block my worse eye so i can still read with my better eye.

These things have saved my reading life over the past several months. After a sudden onset of a CRVO in my left eye, it was very hard to read with my left eye open, and it’s very wearying to keep one eye closed for an extended period. Since I wear glasses all the time, regular eye patches didn’t help. Then I discovered these, and they’re perfect. Since certain types of light can hurt my eye as well, I always keep one of of these shields in my pocket when I’m out of the house, just in case.

These just don't work, sorry. They flop around and aren't efficient for post surgery needs.

The glasses eye patch fit perfectly . I recently had eye surgery and this doesn't touch my eye like the 'pirate ' type does, so there is less pain.

I have double vision these help alot

I needed a better option than a regular eye patch and these slide over my reading glasses patches are perfect. I recently had detached retina surgery and will be without sight in one eye for 2 months until it has time to heal. I really needed a good option to keep that eye blocked from bright, distracting light while at my computer, reading texts on cell phone or just doing general tasks. These work great.

Simple but effective. Keeps bright light out, but the wind can still get in. Good for the price though
