Works for me. No issues!
So far so good. Got the 50ft variant, gave me more than enough room to run audio from a device behind my couch to my soundbar well in front of it. You do need to be sure to remove the plastic bulbs that cover the tips of the cable, otherwise it probably won't seat correctly and I guarantee if you do manage to jam it in the port, you won't get any sound out of it.Speaking of sound, no noticeable difference in sound quality or latency when compared to my previous cable I used (with soundbar behind my couch, awkward because the directional audio was inverted) which is a good thing. For the money, this is worth a try for your application. For reference, one of the largest chain stores carries an optical cable that's less than half the length for almost double the price.

Works for it's intended purpose just fine
Using this fiber optic cable to return audio from a Samsung QN 90 to a Denon receiver, after sending the original signal to the TV via a 50ft HDMI fiber optic cable. For this purpose, the audio return channel will not send high bit-rate Dolby or DTS, or 7.1, but rather just compressed 5.1.But for it's purpose, it works perfectly fine for what it was intended in my setup. No dropped signal or anything, and I was able to feed the cable through the attic through a conduit where I pass all my cables, and it fared fine with no damage even though undergoing some bending and pulling.
