Good Buy Ground Mat 2 Pack
I did research on grounding/earthing after a friend told me last year about grounding she learned from her qi gong instructor. I ordered the 2 pack grounding mat kit for two friends also interested after I bought one for myself. They are enjoying theirs, too. I tested mine with a multi-meter to show my body voltage went to zero when standing on the mat and before 2-6 volts.

Not the Earthing Brand...
...which it doesn't represent itself to be so much less expensive and does provide and wffective ground. Use it daily. Not a cure but good against the daily onslaught brought on by an unhealthy environment. Qualty construction, good materials.

Poorly written instructions. Nice concept but doesn't work for me.
Given the risks of unwanted side effects and products reacting poorly with each other, I've been looking for non-medical means to help with some of my medical problems. Not to replace my current treatment, mind, just to reduce my reliance on medications for them. The concept of grounding, or earthing depending on your cultural background, is certainly an interesting idea, on par with going outside for a breath of fresh air once in a while. So I was willing to try these mats to see if they helped. Unfortunately the instructions were very poorly written. The product comes with a single sheet of paper that gives you a very basic description of what grounding is and how to connect the pieces together , but that's as far as it helps beginners to the concept. There is no further information on how to use the product correctly--case in point, can I use it in a surge protector or must it be plugged directly into a wall? Can it share an outlet with a two-prong device, given that it only takes up the grounding port itself, or does it need an outlet that is otherwise unused? Will wearing the wristband while sitting on a heated mattress pad (more wires, more electricity) ruin its effectiveness? (Note for that last it shows a laptop sitting on top of it... but your hands would not be resting on the laptop and the pad at the same time. I AM clearly going to be sitting on mat and mattress pad at the same time in the case of my bed.) Likewise, does placing fabric between the grounding mat and yourself interfere? (I also tried shoving a mat inside my pillow to test for results in my tinnitus as well as tossing and turning in my sleep.) And finally there's the all important question to anyone just starting to use a new tool for health purposes: how long can I reasonably expect it to take to notice results? I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now and the only thing I noticed was a slight tingle the first time I put on the wristband... something like you might feel from a TENS unit is all I can think to compare it to but so much milder than that. Maybe my problem is the heated mattress pad, I simply have no way to know... but I enjoy the heat too much to give that up. As for the physical attributes of the product: I have mixed feelings about the coiled cord. Like a landline receiver cord, It certainly makes it easy to keep it short and tangle-free if you're parked near wherever it's plugged in or ready to put away, while allowing you to stretch it out for more distance if you need it. However, that coil also forces it to be shorter than a straight cord would be--I had stretched it to a bit shy of its maximum capacity and the coils were still visible when the plug popped out of the outlet. It did not fully release, but enough that the black part of the grounding prong was no longer plugged in. Not a concern in my small bedroom as I only had enough space to stretch half the cord between opposite corners to test this, but someone using it in a larger area may need an extension cord. The wristbands are stretchy but very small and don't seem to have a way to adjust them for size. They fit well enough against my (I think) 6 inch wrists but may not work on significantly smaller ones and WON'T work on significantly larger. The mats likewise are small, suitable for a standard sized laptop like the official product images show or to keep your feet on.

Not a 15' grounding cord.
Description says a 15' grounding cord. I received a "wound up" cord (apx. 2') that "maybe" would stretch out to 15'. But, if you take your foot off the mat, the cord winds back up and the mat goes scooting. No way could I use this mat at the foot on my bed, and also I could not even use it sitting in my chair. The instruction that came with the package actually shows a 15' code which would have made this product usable. I am returning because of the short, wound up cord. I would have kept it - IF - I had received the proper 15' code.
