Our last date stamp finally ran out of years, so we bought a new one. Trodat is already a top company on stamps. This stamp design is much upgraded since the last one we bought (10 years or so ago). It is really sturdy and easy to use and the stamp is very clear and changing the dates doesn't end up getting ink all over your fingers. Only real con is that it will run out of years in 2034 - but totally seems set for the next 10 years and 11 months. Great value for money.

It worked fine for over 500 items that we had to stamp. Was easy enough to use. The clear plastic cover did not stay on very well, but didn't cause a problem. We'll see how it does next time we need to use it in a couple months.

Very sturdy stamp. Do no feel like I am going to break it with use. Overall good quality and works well.

Trodat 5030 Professional 4.0 Self Inking Date Stamp is so much better than some other brand that I have used in the past that either the bands break off or it wouldn't stamp certain numbers.This stamper is far superior in construction and stamping. It has a guide that you can clearly see where exactly the date is going to stamp and it only costs you a few more dollars!!The numbers, month and year are very clear to see and it's easier to use with the wooden handle on top!When setting the date, it is very visible that you don't need glasses or a bright light to see the fonts.I'm looking forward to this lasting a long, long time and not breaking within the first year

I love this date stamper. We are using it to stamp the dates onto offering envelopes for our church. I read in other reviews that people had difficulty changing the dates by rotating little wheels - getting messy fingers with ink. I've been changing the dates frequently and haven't had any problems. The only problem is that it is a little hard to see what numbers are facing up, making sure I have the correct date. I found that if I depress the stamper slightly in my hands and hold it in place I can see what numbers I am getting lined up in the correct spot. I don't know how long the ink pad lasts before I need to add ink. I've done 400 stamps so far and the image is clear and dark black. A good, sturdy stamper at a great price.

Using it for work to mark parking permits. Works fine. There is a little plastic cover on the ink cartridge and I had to think about which way to insert it. You have to remove that one little cover. Everything works fine.
