It's good but...
It's a good film but it seems to struggle to decide who it's audience is. It feels like it wants to be a full on horror movie but then goes back to trying to be a family film and back again

Enjoyable film
Really enjoyed watching this film, because it was good to see some fairy tale magic again with a sensible ending and no swearing for once! I swear like a trooper, but films today go over the top which tends to spoil the film a bit to me. Anyway, I recommend this film if you fancy something more magical with no swearing for a change.

A funny haunted house movie.Some great CGI but for me, the scripting & humour fell a bit flat.

Great film but very sad!
This is as good as the Eddy Murphy version. Obviously the special effect are better but that’s more about how things have improved over time. All the cast a lovely and engaging. BUT the subject matter this time is so sad. It’s borderline grim. The main guy has lost his wife and the little, very bullied little boy has lost his father. Needs more comedy and less loss.
