Q: What does polarized mean?

Q: I want it to turn my router off and on, but after I set the off and on time which is 3:00 a.m. off then on at 3:01, it won't turn the router on

You may have to reverse it. I used mine for grow lights. Time to the left turns on the power time on right turns off the power. Try setting on. At 3:01 and off at 3:00
