Traveling backpack
This backpack was great with short term or long term trips. I used this on my short weekend trips and my 3 weeks trips in different countries. It has great features of tucking in the back pack straps, detachable bookbag, and it opens like a suitcase. The quality of the backpack is unquestionable. Osprey invested a lot into creating high quality backpacks. They also have a great customers service. I would highly recommend this backpack for anyone who is into traveling. However, this would not be recommended for actual hiking or backpacking. It has no structure inside the backpack itself and it is fair on being breathable on your back.

Great Luggage-y Backpack, with an Excellent Day Pack
Love the compact, non fussy design of this backpack. It's a great city hopping piece of kit; I bought it for my pending Greece/Italy trip but I trialed it for a week in Malaysia (KL & Penang) and it was brilliant.I picked this backpack because it is luggage-like, great when you're being a tourist but need to be mobile. The front unzips so that you can see all your stuff. I used smaller mesh bags to organise my stuff - best decision ever - for the 1st time, my bag didn't look like a messy dorm room and no panic attack when looking for stuff/packing up to leave. :) The compartment itself is just a rectangular space with straps, but the separate bottom compartment was good for shoes etc. The backstraps zip up out of the way nicely and there's mostly nothing to get caught in luggage belts except the straps at the bottom front part. It is mostly comfortable to carry as a backpack, but I wouldn't want to be lugging it around on my back for hours on end, don't think it's built for that kind of use.The day pack is brilliant, it's got a pretty flat profile but expands readily if you need to stuff more things into it. The main zip sits under a seam and against your back so pick pockets looking to unzip your bag are going to have to cuddle up to you to do it. But that also means that you have to take off the pack to access the main compartment. There's one 'easy access' pocket on the top that is deceptively deep - It didn't bulge even with my oversized sunglasses case in it. Pretty basic main compartment configuration with only one sleeve/pocket on the inside but it's a day pack, not a tactical vest. There are two pockets, one on either side that will fit a slim 600ml plastic water bottle at most. It's no good for proper water bottles. My only complaint, nothing specific to accommodate a water bladder thing. It would probably fit into the sleeve, so I'm probably just being a bit precious. Pack itself was surprisingly comfortable to carry, it also has a chest and waist straps if you need it. I also found it quite easy to remove/reattach to the main pack. While it hasn't quite been put through its paces, all in all, I'm pretty happy with this bag. Maybe its because I'm a backpack novice, but I found watching some of the youtube vids on this model of bag pretty useful. Just helped me get the most out of it.

I love this pack!
This pack certainly wasn't cheap but I think it was well worth the price. I love that the zipper goes all the way down so I don't have to take everything out of my pack to get to something at the bottom. The sides are also a bit hard - not just nylon. It protects my stuff better but doesn't weigh much more than my last pack.

Osprey Waypoint pack
Five months in Europe and this pack never let me down. Very comfortable suspension system. Osprey makes the very best packs and this is no exception. Also works well for backpacking trips. The piggyback day pack was much more useful then I had anticipated. All in all I could not be more pleased with the pack.

Perfect for international travel
This was purchased for a 9 week trip to Australia and New Zealand where we were changing cities every couple of days. It was perfect because it opens like a suitcase rather than a backpack. Lots of room inside and comfortable to wear, which was the most important factor.

So great!
I love everything about this backpack (and the mini backpack!). Fits my body great (5'8" 140lbs female) and the construction is totally solid. I have not hiked with it but have dragged it across country on a trip. It's great.
