If you have a Goodman condensing unit and need to replace your fan motor, this is the original manufacturer, so don’t be fooled by the off Chinese brand name. This is who makes motors for Goodman. My unit had a 1/6hp motor in it, and they are a little harder to locate. But upgrading it to a 1/4hp is not a problem at all. It has the same wires, uses the same capacitor, and will actually provide a bit more rpm’s on fan rotations. They are even the same dimensions. The shaft is about 3/4 inches longer, but clearance to the top of the condenser pump is not an issue. I had recently upgraded my capacitor to an Amrad and added an Amrad easy-start kit. This fan went right in and fired up perfectly. It’s super quiet and works great. Don’t hesitate to buy this unit. It’s a great price and ships from Amazon directly. So if you have any issues with it during the return period, you won’t have to deal with third party sellers.

**Edit - It did indeed make it through summer with flying colors, but i have yet to order a 2nd one as backup.. but I'll get on that soon-ish.. christmas spending etc.. Probably in the new year.. latest, tax return time. **So for me this was not a direct replacement .. also looked at too many motors and confuzzled the rotation direction, but the speed/cap needs/hp etc.. were all good. (don't worry many of these types of motors can easily be reversed with the cost of confusing someone who works on it after you - and i get that it wasn't "meant" to do that so if it fries, i won't be hitting them up for warranty/replacement) - on to the rest - Local delivery guys think they are in an old samsonite gorilla commercial, but the packaging was well done to protect the motor from these guys. After staring at the rotation direction and some grumbling at my own stupidity - went with installation anyway because it's texas and we were already in the 90's in may. switching start and run wires and in a few mintues all was installed and running. - most of these types of motors don't care which way they spin, they get that from which coil gets the start juice. but hey, the price was definitely worth the risk as a direct oem replacement for me was going to run 400 bucks which is oddly cheaper than before- last time was 400 USED - so 170-ish yeah.. worth it. If it only lasts through the summer... still worth it. Where we are at was consistently 1 deg cooler than death valley highs all last summer.. it became a joke.BEST part? The seller contacted me a couple days after arrival, I groaned expecting the begging for a rating/review routine, nope. just wanted to makes sure it got there okay and if i had any problems with it give them a shout. so guess what? - they get one *gasp* - I usually wait a while to see how something stands up to the test of time though (hey some people hit you up BEFORE the item even arrives) So long as it lasts at least the summer (texas summer not real summer, you know.. til mid october or so) I'll buy another to keep in the garage as a back up. If it lasts a few years, cool, i'll have the spare to go a few more.Only con so far? seems a weep hole on shaft side but not the other, on mine shaft is up, so if yours is normal clockwise spin shaft down, hey go ahead and get this. If you are like me, there may be a rain issue over time (which I'm gonna try to work around... AFTER summer hehe)Overall? Hey need reasonable and fast? easy to install? need the lower rpms to keep your motor from eating itself with the ungodly steep pitch of your fan blades? then this here is your buddy.

My A/C gave out on me on the hottest day of the year this year. I had returned home from a trip that day and it was so hot in the house. Went out to check the A/C and the motor was burned out after about 20 years of service. I ordered this replacement motor from Amazon as well as a condenser and had it by the next day. Replaced them myself in probably less time than I could have gotten a repairman to even show up. Not only that but I KNOW it was a much less expensive repair than having the repairman do the same thing. 5 STARS FROM ME FOR SURE!

Highly recommend this product. The fan motor on my 2005 Goodman AC unit was seizing up. Replaced and it was a perfect fit and replacement. Further investigating into my AC unit, after repeat issues and stalls, revealed the Compressor was going bad and also sezing. My capacitor was going out too. This is a great product and was very easy to replace/install - however, my issues were beyond the fan motor and required a full replacement of my AC unit.I would 100% buy again though.

The media could not be loaded. My AC fan bearing froze still. I heard it the day before squealing. I purchased this fan and it was a direct replacement to my AC unit. I received it, installed it and everything is working perfectly. It had the spade terminals already on which I assumed I would have to replace. It was a direct plug and play.

Easy to install. Fit my old AC motor. Most HVAC company wants to replace the whole AC unit. This motor is highly recommended.

Maybe it was just a bad motor. Installed early in the morning and by early evening the AC was not cooling our house. I went outside to check and the compressor had stopped running which has never happened before. Immediately turned off the AC hoping there was no permanent damage to anything.Uninstalled this motor, which was so hot I could barely touch it, and reinstalled the original which still worked just makes a clunking noise. Fired the AC back up and it cooled the house again.So looks like I only lost a few hours of my time on this and I'm getting a refund. Pretty disappointed in my purchase but could have been much worse.Maybe you will have better luck.

I was able to trouble shoot a bad ac condenser motor order it and replace it under 18 hrs thanks to Amazon's quick delivery.
