A great kettle for the price. Better quality than I expected.
Purchased for our caravan to save on electric. More cost effective heating with gas.Nice bright cream colour, feels sturdy.Would recommend to anyone. Would buy again.

Does the job. Can't fault the price.
I needed a reasonable sized kettle to take on my camping trips. Size not a problem as not backpacking and will be static, so the primary issue was size and I wanted a whistling one as it's easy to get distracted when out in the wilderness of England (Yes, I know, it's called irony) so this would remind me to turn it off. Also it won't be sitting on firewood or coal but on a camping stove which is good as the botto, just like the side of the kettle is made of thin metal and I don't think it would do too well.Tested it a home also to get rid of the new kettle smell and thisis my conclusion:1. Does the job well enough. Once water gets boiling properly you do get a nice whistle. Someone said it was more a gurgling but that' sjust when it starts. Its loud enough and proper whistle when the boil is good.2. Handle does get hot on the kitchen stove. Don't know why really as no direct flame.3. Already mentioned bottom and side very thin, so a bit of care needed.4. Outer side has signs of burning after only a couple of uses on kitchen stove where flames have overlapped the bottom.5. Water boiled in reasonable time. Can't complain about that. Does what it says on the tin....6. Really hold less than 2 usable liters. the 2.5 advertised refers to the fact that you can fill it to the brim but that is pointless as at leat 1.2 a liter is above the spout. No idea why manufacturers try and con us that way. Luckily I was aware of the fact.7. Make sure you don't boil dry. It will definitely melt very quickly (See mention about thinness). That's it. Some wins, some losses, but for less that £7 I really can't complain and am happy that it will do what I bought it far.

replaced my electric kettle
I got myself a new kitchen with an induction hob, with a speed heat button.Due to rising electric prices and the Torys telling me the best way to save money was to buy a new kettle i thought, i will buy this and then next year i will be an millionare, Now alas i have not become a millionaire...i cant even afford a campervan. But this kettle is great, i done a speed test and an electricity usage test and the whistling kettle won on speed and cost.Dont sit on the fence get yourselves one of these....Do not turn on empty or you will have to buy a new one becuase you will burn the bottom of this lovely kettle.

It does its job but
I initially gave this kettle 5 stars but I've downgraded to 3. The good points: The whistle is good and loud, although if you're making coffee it's not necessary to let it come right up to boiling point. I like how the handle pivots sideways which makes it easier to hold under the tap if space is tight. One reviewer said they had difficulty removing the lid, but I haven't had that problem. The kettle will hopefully save a bit of money on the electric bills, apparently the equivalent gas to boil water is cheaper than electric. The bad point: after abourt 3 weeks of use the finish appears tarnished and discoloured. It's not an attractive look. The most important thing, is it is functional. But if you care about how it looks, this isn't the kettle for you.

Great kettle
Great little 2.5l kettle. Lightweight, well made, classic shape, looks good. Works perfect on an induction hob. Exactly what I was looking for at a fraction of the price I was expecting. Ordered yesterday evening, delivered before midday today. Top marks all round. Thanks

Good value kettle
This kettle is good value. It's light but sturdy and stylish. We have switched from our electric kettle to a whistle hob kettle because it uses less energy, as seen on smart meter. I find it a bit awkward to lift top off whistle though but it's probably me. Good buy.
