Calm & Beautiful
WhenI first came across Blue October, I made sure I had everything, and pretty much loved everything too. The press releases for Sway all say that the band 'all feel like they're in a good place right now', and it shows. Sway feels like a beautiful sigh in the running order, a satisfied pause where you look back to see how far you've travelled, come to terms with all the **** that went down, and realise that life really is quite good right now. It's going to grow on you the more you play it, and its going to be one that you listen to in order to wind down from a hell of a day (or week!), with a glass of whatever makes you feel good.

Fantastic.
Got into Blue October somewhat late in the day (thank you Radio 2!) but so glad I did. I have enjoyed retrospectively listening to older releases and the powerful emotive themes running through them. But wow, this album blew my expectations right out of the water; it is a superb progression of the band's journey through the ups and downs (and up again) of life.If you like Blue October, get this album, you will love it. If you are wondering who they are, dip your toes into the water you will not be disappointed.

Sway - Blue October
The latest release from Blue October (US) following on from Any Man In America. This album is less dark than the last and quite mellow compared but is equally a great album and a real grower the more you listen. It contains some catchy tunes that can be sung along to quite soon after playing a few times. As usual all tracks are sung from the heart and have meaningful lyrics. A must buy for Blue October fans and if you've never heard of them then give them a try.

Another first class album from Blue October
I have been a massive Blue October fan for several years now and was so excited about this album, and it didn't disappoint. The lead singer, Justin, has spoken about how it has a different feel to their previous stuff, and he wanted it to be more uplifting as it came from a much happier and secure place. The title track, Sway, really shows this and it it one of my favourites on the album. It's cool and upbeat and somehow sounds more mature, confident, and calm, yet at the same time, dare I use the word, kinda funky. I've had it on repeat for weeks! Bleed Out is one of my other favourites and sounds a bit more like the Blue October we all know and love with the smashing guitars and catchy chorus and heart full of pain, but again it has an element that seems more modern, more 'now'. Though the lyrics are more optimistic, the songs are still a mix of dark and light and still full of raw emotion and honesty. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is just because out of all their seven albums, this one doesn't top my absolute favourite ones and, for me, there weren't as many stand-out tracks as on some of their others. But I'm enjoying the new styles they're experimenting with as one of the great things about Blue October is their genre is so hard to define and always has been! With that in mind, I really think there's something for everyone on this album and would definitely recommend.

It 'Sway' better than a first listen.
This is a grower. It needs to have a few listens to appreciate it along with knowing the general background of their previous offering, 'Any Man in America'. Looking forward to seeing the band during 'Sway' tour.
