I've long been a fan of coronation chicken - who hasn't? I've spent time making my own sauce, but never quite hit the mark - even when using Hellman's mayo as a base. Mine always tasted too artificial and one dimensional. Now, I don't have to - as Hellman's have done all of the hard work for me.And what a job they've done too. It's delicious. It has a really nice tang to it, it's sweet - but not too sweet. It's got a great curry flavour - but not the heat. It's creamy and finishes off with a wonderful tang of mango and lemon.I've been amazed at how versatile it is too. Instead of just using it with diced cooked chicken, I've also been using it as a dip. It's really good with mashed hard boiled eggs - so a bit like a coronation egg mayo - this works even better with a little finely diced onion too.It transforms everything I've tried it with. It's even possible to get a kind-of creamy currywurst effect if you have it on top of a hotdog - so good!So, this is now one of those condiments, that come out no matter what you're having - as it goes surprisingly well with lots of things. It really adds a new dimension to mealtimes.

These are a little different.A nice tang to it.The curry powder adds colour to your fries or dish too!The squeeze bottle makes it easy to get it all out without sweating!6 months to finish it.May not take that long I guess…Update 13/3: Great but try getting this out without effort! So minus one star. Work on the consistency or flow…won’t even gather on the bottom!

I’ve been brought up with Hellmanns and this coronation recipe is divine but I seldom use it on a pitta or a sandwich although I don’t doubt it’s gorgeous, I tend to bake with it as an ingredient.It’s got to be one of the best kept secrets but I’ll explain now why I ordered the multipack!You can smear it over your chicken or fish and roast or air fry it for an even golden colour full of flavour.Use it when breading chicken rather than eggs and flour for extra tasty moist chicken, or add to your mash potatoes or scrambled eggs if you want creamy deliciousness with a subtle tang!I even fry my grilled cheese in it rather than butter. It gives a crispy crust and golden colour and it’s so flavourful.If you mix it with grated cheese you can create a topping for your recipes, bake some savoury muffins and add this to keep them moist, or it’s a superb marinade !!So yes, it’s fab on your sarni, pitta, burger or salad. But it’s so much more than that!It’s great value, a very useful convenient ingredient and the squeezy bottle means easy to use and no waste.It’s vegetarian and made from recycled materials.I’d definitely recommend it and I hope you find my review helpful.
