LG AN-MR650A Magic Remote Control with Voice Mate for Select 2017 Smart Televisions

Saw conflicting responses as to whether it would work with the LG 65UJ6540, and decided to go for it. And lo and behold, the remote works! With the laser pointer thing, watching TV and using its smart TV functions will never be the same. I used to have a laptop hooked up to my old smart TV, and now with this TV and this remote, I no longer have to. Web browsing is easy with the pointer--no more clicking left left up up left, etc., to get to each individual letter. I haven't really used the voice command much, but so far it's been impressive. Big big fan of this thing.

Purchased a refurb from this seller. Perfectly matches our OEM remote for LG UJ7700 65" circa 2017. All accessory functions such as mouse, voice, Netflix and Prime Video buttons work well.

Works well as a substitute for the original unit. But it eventually separated near the top half of the unit. Some gorilla glue was able to seal it tight.

I bought it for my living room TV and i got the exact same one as before MR650A even on the back, it still didn't work.

Excelente, funciona perfecto el cursor y la rueda del control magic para tv lg sj8000. Con otra tienda tuve problema.

What seemed easy pairing it with the TV from the get-go failed to provide for functionality of the remote, even though LG specifically said this would work with my TV. It gets worse you follow LG‘s guidance on the registering and re-registering and unplugging the TV holding the power button on the TV for 30 seconds and retrying it leads to the remote working even less with the TV, it never had any magic functions with the TV. You couldn’t Voice Control it all you could do is turn it off and on and pick your input and raise the volume after trying to de-register, and re-register it you could only turn it off and on turn the volume up and down and scroll through the inputs but not actually pick one. best of was LG’s customer service, since the TV I bought is out of warranty they cannot provide any help with the remote beyond the tactics I tried mentioned above.

I have a 2017 UH7650 i got from costco, it's a great LG tv, but i lost the remote when moving it to another room. I ordered this remote thinking it's that roundish style version, but it's just a flat normal looking tv remote. It has all the same buttons as the AN-MR650 had, so you're not losing anything. What's weird was LG sent me another remote similar to this one, and it didn't pair up, this one paired up on the first try. So if you need a remote for a 2017 LG TV, try this one out.

A much better remote and magic cursor function makes keyboard and surfing much easier, mouse style wheel makes up and down scrolling much faster on Netflix, YouTube and internet pages; no more down, down, down on the directional button. Point and click in any location is a dream; like Fire-TV remote. I can just sit back and not worry about anything blocking the remote signal, like a cat or two cats or not being on the correct angle when the moon and sun align... I can control my TV, my PS4 and soundbar much more smoothly with this remote, honestly it should be bundled or price dropped for owners of the 2017 models.

Mi experiencia ha sido muy satisfactoria. Cuando compré el SmartTV de LG empecé a usarlo con el mando a distancia que viene de fabrica y la experiencia fue bastante aceptable. Más adelante empecé a usar la APP oficial de LG para el smartphone y la experiencia mejoró notablemente ya que podía usar el puntero para acceder a las funciones del televisor de una forma más práctica y sencilla aunque la sensibilidad con la que se movía el cursor por la pantalla dejaba mucho que desear. Al poco tiempo leí un artículo sobre el LG Magic Control, me decidí a probarlo y estaba agotado, literalmente, en toda España. Por fín lo he podido conseguir y, realmente, cuando lo usas, se convierte en INDISPENSABLE para el uso del SmartTV. La velocidad del puntero es muy fluida y precisa, nada que ver con la experiencia con la APP. Puedes controlar todas las funciones del televisor de una forma mucho más interactiva y eficaz. Al principio, la sensación es un poco confusa porque tiendes a apuntar a la parte de la pantalla donde quieres mover el puntero, pero más tarde te das cuenta de que el puntero se adapta al movimiento del mando sin que tengas que apuntar a ningún sitio en concreto y enseguida te haces con el control. Además, no se cómo lo harán, pero mediante el menú de configuración del televisor, puedes configurar el mando para que funcione con cualquier dispositivo que tengas conectado al mismo. Yo lo he configurado para que funcione con el TiVo de ONO y funciona a la perfección. Cuando, en el televisor seleccionas la entrada del TiVo, el Magic Control automáticamente "deja de responder" a las funciones del televisor para responder a las del decodificador. Los comandos de voz están muy bien conseguidos. Puedes decirle comandos como "ver telecinco", "sube el volumen" o incluso puedes decirle el nombre de un programa y el mando hace que el televisor te lo busque, tanto si se está emitiendo en ese momento, como si se va a emitir en las próximas horas. También puedes decirle comandos de búsqueda en internet como "restaurantes en Córdoba" y el mando hace que el televisor abra el explorador web proporcionándote una lista de resultados. Por rizar el rizo, su tacto es bastante agradable y su peso es muy reducido, características que aportan una comodidad extra en su uso habitual. En general, estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.
