2nd Gen review
Very small but it does the job. Still a 5/5 measures at 7in wide and 5.3 tall so less than a rulers length. Great speaker if you have a Google ring doorbell battery powered and not wired this device will let u know if someone's at the door

MUCH LESS it should be !!!
Google should be ashamed of themselves for producing such a limited product. Worse yet I believe that the limitations are all Google Software imposed limitations. A device called a HUB (either Google or Nest) should provide at a MINIMUM the same functionality that one gets from the Google Home app on their phone. This provides much less and is very limited in it's usability. They could improve it by making one of the Built In Apps Google Home with all the same functionality. They should also have Play Store access for this device to allow installation of apps such as TuneIn Radio. Instead they choose to leave choices for radio streaming up to a random choice of their choice. Defaults seem to be YouTube music, Global Player followed by TuneIn sometimes. Behavior is highly erratic. Grouping of speakers functionality is also highly erratic and very difficult to manage and set up. Audio streaming of YouTube seems to be blocked thus disallowing streaming of Audio from a Chromecast Google TV device to other in-home speakers. International functionality seems to be very inconsistent with vastly different behavior in different countries. Amazon Alexa is far ahead of Google with respect of international functionality. While TuneIn can be forced when added to the audio command stream rigorously following the "Dialect" imposed by Google for each country / Language, without direct access to TuneIn there is no way to use your subscribed TuneIn application. This could be easily overcome by allowing installation of apps like TuneIn directly. We deserve much more than this product has been limited to provide. Recommend DO NOT BUY. Your phone or a tablet has better functionality and probably costs less mostly because you can install Google Home and other Apps (like TuneIn) directly. Google should be able to fix this with a software update that provides - 1) Google Home as a built in APP 2) Playstore access to install other apps, 3) the ability to customize the GUI and home screens like on a phone or tablet.

A very useful accessory for your smart home hidden behind a painful setup
I purchased this product to help me manage my growing list of smart devices and to be honest I was a little afraid that I wouldn't actually use it much considering I already have quick access to Google Home's functionalities via several Alexas, my phone, and my voice. Day 1 it's already put my fears to bed. The dedicate Home Control interface is actually better than my phone's Google Home app and well-optimized for tablet use (unlike most apps on my own Android tablet). I do wish I could customize the app list since I don't use a lot of the installed services or even add more apps, but it's not a big deal.Media management is also pretty great. The speakers are surprisingly solid quality, I think a little better than Alexa speakers (sorry Amazon). I wouldn't recommend watching anything on a 7-inch screen but it's quite easy to cast stuff onto your smart tv; you can even set connected devices for default display/audio playback so with one touch you can use the Hub as a fancy tv remote or control music quickly. My biggest gripe is with the setup. Like other buyers, my Nest Hub did start up in a foreign language (Mandarin) but adding the device in your Google Home app on your phone and scanning the Hub's QR code should immediately fix this quirk. It also took a few tries to get it to connect to my wifi but that could have been my internet being stupid. In addition, I encountered a bug where the Hub "freezes" when giving me the initial feature tour (It wouldn't let me progress through the tutorial and I could access the Photo Gallery and settings but nothing else) but this is fixed by rebooting the Hub on your Home app and letting it update. All of this is only annoying for initial setup, but as someone already entrenched in the Google ecosystem I wish it was a little more plug and play.Overall I don't believe the Nest Hub is worth the ~$100 price tag per unit in its current state, but with further refinements or a 3rd generation I would absolutely put one of these in every room. Despite that, it's still good value compared to Amazon and Apple's offerings and a useful accessory for smart home control.

Yes, this will work in English just fine...
For anyone complaining that it starts in Chinese (which it does) you need to update your reviews because these are just fine, work in English, and are the same as the English models. They do start in Chinese but that literally makes no difference as you use your Google Home app to set it up which will automatically change it to English for you in one of the first steps.

Great price
Great price. Great product. I’ve been eyeing one and this is the one I got. It doesn’t come in English but you connect it to the app and it’s automatically in English.
